RALLY TOGETHER, MEERKATS, AND DRAW YOUR SWORDS PENS. The next guild war has begun!!

If you haven’t been around for any of the past guild wars, don’t worry, it’s pretty straight forward. A guild war is where each of the guilds competes against the other guilds to try write the best scene/the most words/etc. This week it’s about writing a scene/short story.

Before we get started, we’ve made up a bit of a guild war schedule on this topic here, so you can check that out to keep on track. 😀

The Prompt: write any story you choose with the most original and creative prose you can.

The Dates: starting Monday 3rd. Ending Monday 17th.

So we’ve got two weeks to write a scene and make it epic.

1. We brainstorm here on this topic. We decide what the story will be about, choose characters, decide a genre, etc.
2. We write a scene (or two!) in this google doc HERE. You can each add your ideas into the story, and if we have more than one idea, feel free to write two scenes and once they’re done we can choose between the two. (NOTE: the scene has to be under 2500 words)
3. We edit. We polish. We make sure that this is the best we can make it. We also make sure the prose is unique and original and will stand out like a potato in a minefield.

Start brainstorming!! It doesn’t matter if we don’t win, but we’ve got to give it our best shot anyway. Throw out all the ideas!
