I bump into Eden and Germaine in the passage, having taken a wrong turn and got lost a twist-y passage that somehow wound its way back to the hall. Not sure what it was for. Maybe there’s secret passages branching off behind the tapestry or something.
Eden has a tray of cookies in her hand. I freeze. “Cookies!” I gasp. “Can I have…[Read more]

“You make the BEST cookies!” I tell Germaine, licking the chocolate off my fingers. “We should go take some for the others!”
“Come on!” I grab a tray of cookies and dash off down the hall.
Just wait till the others try these. Germaine should get a medal!

That’s my word count for the entire past five days since the Word War started. And yeah, I haven’t written anything today either. 😞

Anybody care to share their word counts?
I’m currently at 347. 😡 I need to step it up a notch.

Alright guys. This week’s word count for Good or Evil: 3,229 words.
I wrote the most words on Tuesday with 877 words. Mostly because of the word war. I usually write a little more than 300 words in a day.
And just for good measure, the total word count for the month of October: 5,824 words.
Yeah, I didn’t write very much this past month. But…[Read more]

@daeus-lamb Awesome. Thanks. Hey, that’s exactly how we placed in the prose prompt contest. We’re going to have to step up our game.
I’m with @germaine-han . I won’t be participating in NaNo, but I will be trying to work on my story every day.

YAY!! I’m glad you guys want to do this!
(Rose Mary Louise, yeah, I need to go write too. 😀)
But first…do you guys have a daily or weekly goal? As of now, my daily goal is: 1,ooo and my weekly goal is 7,000. If I accomplish more I’m gonna try and do more.
I am really looking forward to this word war especially…[Read more]

Awww…that’s okay! Way to go on participating in NaNoWriMo, I hear it’s pretty intense. *cheers wildly for you* ❤️
That could be helpful too! 😀
NOW GO WRITE!!! (I’m speaking to myself too. 😛)

I don’t know…it was kinda all off the top of my head. 😛 We wouldn’t have to do it exactly like I said…I think we should use it to fit our needs.
Any suggestion on how we could make this idea work, Germaine? 😀

As everybody knows a giant Word War is going on right now. Happily for all the people participating in NaNoWriMo, because they have double motivation. When they write in their WIP they get words in for NaNoWriMo and for the Word War.
It’s a little bit harder for those of us not participating in NaNoWriMo. At least it is more me…maybe I’m the…[Read more]

Right or left…left or right? Hmmm…
I need to make up my mind; I can’t stand here all day.
Then suddenly, I hear a voice call from down the hall leading to the right.
“Does anyone want chocolate cookies?”
Clutching Ferdinand against my chest, I dash down the hall. I pass two closed doors but I don’t pause to wonder what’s behind them…I…[Read more]

@germaine-han Who doesn’t like chocolate cookies? I wonder with a smile.
@bama-rose
I add a spoonful of honey, and hold the cup out to Bama.
“Alabama, that’s quite a name, I like it. It has a very solid but pretty sound to it. Yes, Rachel is my name. It’s a bit less unique, by this time I have lost count of all the other Rachels I have met.”

Guys, this is crazy. A little sad. Absolutely awesome.
The word war. How’d we do?
We actually beat the record from past guild wars! I was amazed. We had 51,082 — a whole novel’s worth in a week.
So, the winner?
……
With 72,127 words, it goes to Parimi Alca. I’m super impressed with those guys, especially since I’ve heard they’re the…[Read more]

I take a deep breath and smile. “Bless you, Kate, for breaking this melancholy mood. May you live a long and happy life and may there never be a lack of fresh raspberries within your reach.”
“Your right.” I say out loud.
I pause, considering her words.

I shake my head. “Guys, chill. I miss it, but in a way it hasn’t really left. I mean, it was the spirit of it that made it what it was, and look at us— we have the same thing. Change is important, and as long as you aren’t too scared to meet it I guess you find the same things in different places.”

I mentally pinch myself. “You idiot! Just when everything was beginning to thaw and we were going to have a lot of fun…you go and make everybody feel sad. Brilliant.”
“I am sorry you had to leave…it seemed like a good place.” I say out loud.
The silence is awkward.

I nod, making my way around the table to the newcomer who just burst into the hall, breathless, eyes alight. “That’s a very good question. One that everyone here should answer.” I stick out my hand to… Germaine? Yep, that’s what it says. “Do you like raspberries?”
