*Speaks into a megaphone* Welcome to the third guild war!

For the next two weeks, you guys will be putting together a piece covering this prompt:

Write the most emotionally impactful death scene you can.

Now, I can’t help you at all on this one. I can’t even see the ideas on this thread, because I’m the one who’s going to be judging all the scenes and can’t know which one is yours. But I think you guys got this. I believe in ya. 😉

Since you have two weeks to complete the objective, the schedule will be adjusted. You should all probably pick a piece to use by this week, and edit it by the end of next.

I’d recommend brainstorming together for a bit (cuz your ideas are awesome) and decide where to go from there. Here is the plan put forth by @overcomer during the first guild war.

1. Those of us who are inspired by and interested in the prompt could each do a freewrite of sorts. We could use Google Docs to share them with each other, compare them and vote on the one we think is the best candidate.

2. When a candidate has been selected, we could then swap ideas for improving/or completing the plot. Those ideas will be used to help construct the outline for the story.

3. Once the piece has been revised according to the outline, we could each comment on it and offer editing suggestions. The person whose freewrite is chosen would be responsible for the actual writing and implementing process.

4. We could then all review the finished product before turning it in to check for length, typos, errors, and make last minute corrections.
