Hey Guildmates!
Backstory is important to every part of a character, including how they react to emotion. This week, I want you to pick one of your characters and think about how he reacts to certain emotions. How does his past affect his reaction? Does his reaction spring from a specific event in his past, or is it the outcome of a certain upbringing?
Feel free to use this exercise to flesh out a character. 🙂

Here’s my example:
My future MC, Ace, runs away from the feeling of loss. As an immortal surrounded by a bunch of other immortals, he’s never experienced deep loss. He’s not sure what to do with emotional pain and seeks to avoid it.
Ace also tends to openly show rebellion. He’s never really been disciplined, so if he’s asked to complete a task he doesn’t care for, he’ll slouch around, throw out sarcastic, haughty comments, and do a half-hearted job.
