“she never gave up on trying, like the sea”
@the-fledgling-artist thanks fren (:
@the-fledgling-artist ahhhh makes sense. Thank you for the advice! Very helpful
@chalice hehe I’ve discovered the same thing
@deeprun hmm he doesn’t have a program yet (he’ll pick one after he gets the drawing pad I guess) so I honestly don’t know how to answer your questions. At this point I’ve given up on finding something, which is too bad. But I expect he’ll end up just watching a lot of youtube videos and such
@mayajoelle Yep. (:
@mayajoelle Also great taste of musicals. 😉
@mayajoelle Ashtown Burials are my favorite too, though I am very fond of 100 Cupboards too and those books used to hold that special spot in my smol bookworm heart. I think the difference is realizing how unique and quirky Ashtown Burials is (while – in comparison – 100 Cupboards feels a bit more genre-typical, even for it’s N.D. Wilson style of not following the norm). Also Nolan. Also Arachne. And also the sibling vibes. And Rupert Greeves. And so many philosophy jokes. And classical themes.
Speaking of which, are you getting the serial for the fourth book??
Ahhh I need to read the whole series again…
@the-fledgling-artist Cool idea! I love how you’re taking leadership and thinking of things like this.
Unfortunately I’m not a graphic artist. I just wanted to pop in and give my support. 😉
Anywho.
@mayajoelle Aha, I knew it sounded familiar but I couldn’t think of what it was from. That makes sense though. (:
I’ve only read them once and I remember not liking them a whole lot… that was a while ago however and I’ve been meaning to read them again. I’ll probably like them more now!
Which is your favorite N.D. Wilson book/series?
@mayajoelle Heyo and welcome. Glad to see a familiar face here. (:
I hope your time here on Story Embers is lovely!
(btw love your signature :))

*clutches heart*
*chokes* how dare you ask the question!
*goes and hides in a hole*
@eitan How beautiful. I only wish I could do it the justice of being about to read and comprehend it in it’s original language. 🙂
