Hey all, I was wondering, what is something you would like to see in this guild? What is something you would like to see added or improved, general ideas? Would people be interested in art contests, further discussions? Talk below and lets brainstorm to make Camp Artifex a better community for artists. @snapper you’re back! And just in time too! The chairs have be planning another rebellion. *hands you raspberry ice cream* They’ve even started building an army… *nods* *sits on her box*
@ethryndal I agree Story Embers has not had a Gif War yet, only a few raspberry jokes, and I don’t think I have seen as many rants. The fledgling kingdom is in…[Read more]

I’ve had this idea in my mind for a while, and I’ve finally gotten around to turning it into a drawing. The idea is about worshiping and praising God in the midst of spiritual warfare, and being able to rest in Him even when the enemy comes against us, because we already have the victory in Him. I’ve never drawn this sort of thing, and I’m just a…[Read more]

So one of my recently finished projects is the first book in a trilogy. I spent only two weeks planning it (Bc I’m lazy like that) and wrote those 81,000 words in three months. My point being, I’m starting to plan the second book in the trilogy, but everything feelzzz …. contrived.
Any tips on how I can avoid that and maybe add a bit more…[Read more]

Snapper is going to be frank.
She misses you guys.
All righty. So It’s been what, a year??? It feels like a year anyway since I’ve been on any kind of writer’s forum, and ughhhhh I’ve gotten soooo lazy in my writing and I could really use some encouragement and accountability to get me back on track.
So go. Tell me what’s going on around…[Read more]

@ethryndal –Β Great thoughts! Totally agree.
@kate – Yes! Love what you said about humility and following God in it. Such good reminders. Thanks π
I think you might have answered your own question… π You said:
Β I canβt really imagine myself not coming up with stories and writing them down.

@Eden-anderson don’t worry. We all suffer from this doubt from time to time. π @Ethryndal has great thoughts. I will just encourage you that wild self-confidence is a mark of immaturity, not skill, and doubt is a sign of someone who is honest enough to acknowledge to themselves that they are fallible. Honesty is so much more important than…[Read more]

@msqueen8 @noahlitle @eden-anderson @rosemarylouise @ethryndal Sorry I’m so esoteric. π It’s a new topic for me, so it’s still hard to explain. If I can find the time, I’ll try to see how I can explain it clearer.
In the meantime, I’ll try to keep our theme discussions less abstract. π

About my name, thank you. 😀
Yes, Little Dorrit and Bleak House are pretty high up on my to-watch list. My sisters have seen them and they just RAVE over them. 😀

@eden-anderson Your book(and the new character that was just added π ) sounds awesome! When you have portions written, I would love sneak peaks! *gasps* Did I seriously just ask that? I need to work on my people skills.

Okay so question number 1#:
How do you know if you are a writer? (it sounds really simplistic, I know)
I’ve struggled with this for a LONG time. First off, there’s like one hundred and one views out there about what makes a writer. I’ve heard and read lots of conflicting views about this: some people say anybody can be a writer, others say it’s…[Read more]
