@graceabounds2129 Haha, yes!! There are so many! It took me days to go through, but I was determined to meet everyone XD WELCOME! Glad to have you here and looking forward to growing with you!
My mom’s name is Lindsay! 😀 I was brand spanking new too, but it doesn’t take long to catch on. Not that I’m the person to ask questions, but I’ve sort of…[Read more]

@ajaj2000 Oh, thanks! I can’t wait to read everyone’s! I’ve been travelling, so I haven’t had the chance yet. I’m hoping to get to it this weekend, though.
Rillumen was the last one, The Gardener’s Last Day. 🙂

Coralie replied to the topic What score corresponds to each rank? in the forum Writing Level & Journey Plans Discussions 8 years ago
Oh, that’s great to know! Cause I took it twice and got intermediate once and advanced once, but both scores were close together. I know realize they were both hovering near the line between the two levels.

Are there any specific areas y’all are wanting to concentrate on when improving?

Coralie replied to the topic 2018 Week 8 – Description Video in the forum Annual Theme Discussion 8 years ago
Hmm, that was an interesting video. It reminded me a lot of what you had said a week or so ago about picking details that help the reader fill in the rest of the setting, like the 20% off tag in the bookstore helps readers fill in the bookshelves.

Thanks, guys! It was totally a team effort! Y’all came up with the awesome ideas that brought it to life!! I’m just glad I could tie most everything in and make something we all contributed to. 🙂 Plus, it was a lot of fun!

Hey, guys, so I know you have all been popping in and out of the doc. I finished a draft of the story, but I kind of stink at endings. What do you guys think? Do you have any changes you want to make or is there anything you don’t like? Can you think of a better…[Read more]

@missfaeriekaiti That’s true, but I agree; I haven’t found it bothersome yet. They’re clean, fun reads. And her characters are great!
I’m kind of going through the authors one by one, but I haven’t been disappointed so far. I just started on Brittany Fichter’s Classical Kingdoms novels. I read one of Tapscott’s four book series, but there’s…[Read more]

Patience can be a slippery thing some times, but it will lead to such reward! I love how you break these different areas down. It’s a wonderful reminder that we have to have grace and we have to give grace. Thank you for sharing!

@scribbles See, now I knew two cups of butter was way too much! It must have been a typo! They were just supposed to be chocolate chip cookies and a normal sized batch at that. Mmm, I like them both super soft, ooey-gooey, and warm and almost burnt and crispy! *notepad burns from the friction of my pencil taking notes* THANKS! Ima have to give…[Read more]

@the-golden-light *raises hand proudly* I am totally a Melanie Dickerson fanatic. And Captive Maiden was one of my favorites!! Please tell me you’re reading them in order! *hides behind hands* If you like her stuff, I’d reiterate that you should check out Melanie Cellier’s Four Kingdom books. They’re fantastic retellings!
Also, had to stick my n…[Read more]

@sir-leeds I have. 🙂 It’s a world that’s been brimming and marinating for a long time. I just gotta be careful coercing it out so I don’t break it. XD Thanks so much!
Hmm, maybe you could start with a short story or a prose poem and hone it and take snippits from there to rough out your poem?

Okay, now you have to flesh out this story!!! <3

Coralie replied to the topic How Diverse Should the Setting Be? in the forum Rillumen’s Writing Discussions 8 years ago
@rolena-hatfield Oh my goodness, yes! It is not only totally possible, but it’s amazing when you pull it off right! I think your friend is correct in saying that people–espeically in today’s society–get easily bored and one setting for an extended period of time can be a dangerous play for sure. However, if you can pull it off, people will think…[Read more]
