Oh, I feel like I should give a few more details about the story….

So, it’s set in a totally fictitious world, but isn’t really fantasy.  It’s written like modern day, with some reference to to futuristic tech.  So I’m not exactly sure what genre it fits in, to be honest….

The MC is a young private names Talon, and he’s almost totally Deaf, but has implanted aids that allow him to function normally.  Unless they get damaged….. 😉

He’s insecure, doesn’t like confrontation, and doesn’t like going against the tide.  The most important thing in the world to him is proving he can do his job as well as the next person.

There’s also a dog and a female soldier involved.  I had a difficult time working out the female soldier, because Biblically, it’s wrong, at least in the situation in my story, but women *are* in the military in this day and age, and I needed her character in order for the story to work at all.  I did hint about her not only being wrong, but also unhappy in her place here, but I also love her character very much, and she was a joy to write.

Anyway, I hope that grabs y’all’s interest a bit more.  Please feel free to ask me any questions or make any comments.  My story is called “Draw Your Line”, and I want it to be as bold and gripping as possible.

P.S.  I was snuggling a puppy while I wrote this, so blame any typos on him. 😉
