Kallun opened his mouth but Pia spoke first, “A river. A river running west to east is at the end of the forest. I hope you can swim, Smalls.”"If your goal is purity in heart, be prepared to be thought very odd." -Elisabeth Elliott
Julian, still walking backwards, smiled at her comment “As a matter of fact, I can sw-” his words turned into a scream as the ground opened its mouth and swallowed him.
“Julian!” Ellie screamed. She ran over to look down the hole that had just appeared. Darkness.

Kallun quickly wrapped an arm around her, “Careful!”

“But he might be hurt!” She tried escaping but his grip was too strong.
A shadow then ran across the forest pushing them and Pia (if you don’t want her down the hole then change it) down the dark hole.
Ellie landed first, Kallun still held his grip around her arm and landed on top of her. The ground was soft, like sand, and it was quite dark except for a soft, blue glow that somehow flooded the entire space.
“Kawun, ge offff me” Ellie mumbled with a mouthful of sand

Kallun immediately rolled over, his arm falling on Pia, who shoved it away. “Sorry.” He looked up to see who had pushed them but the form was gone.
Pia stood and looked around, “Smalls?” She called, picking up her helmet.Kallun picked up her pike and held it out to her, still sitting on the ground.

“shh… I’m over here” a voice whispered behind them.
Ellie spit the sand out of her mouth “Oh, Julian, you’re alright!”
“yeah. just got a headache”
Ellie stood and brushed the sand off her clothes. “does anyone know what this place is?”

Kallun stood and walked over to Julian, “Are you alright, friend?” He asked softly.
Pia’s hand tightened around her pike, “No, but this is probably a tunnel made by the natives of the forest. The Allawn tribe. The tribe is formed of many clans, each clan has a certain color and dresses with beads or feathers of that color to distinguish themselves from the other clans.” (Hope you don’t mind me inserting these peoples, I need to brainstorm on them anyway.)

Julian hesitated for a second. “Uh, yeah I’m fine.” He got off the ground and stood next to Kallun. “Just a headache, like I said. I guess I landed wrong”
Ellie nodded and walked up to the walls of the tunnel. It was easy to see that the blue glow was coming from bright blue specks in the stone wall. They lit up the way just barely enough to see the nearby surroundings. She reached forward to the stone, “ouch!” An electric shocked flowed through her fingers from the rock. “Don’t touch the walls” she said.

Pia cocked her head and eyed the walls. “That makes since, actually, the shock. The forest above is almost always storming, and lightning is very common here. It leaves these veins in the ground, like the bolt is still shooting downward.” Kallun smiled at her, she was always a little brainy, but rarely did any in her storeroom of knowledge come out.

“That’s interesting but highly irritating. All of this is!”
“Calm down Ellie” Julian said with a smirk, “New Princess seems to know a lot about this place. She probably knows the way out.” He turned to her and stared into her eyes, “don’t you?”

She stared back with a piercing look. “Well you obviously can’t get out the way we got here.” She sighed and turned to the path, “Follow the path, it’s going north so we will still reach the river at some point.”

Julian smiled, “see, I knew you would be the one to get us out of here.”
