Iâll find a few other names  and maybe sketch a picture for the ship…do you have any reference in mind, like maybe from Star Wars or some other sci-fi?
What I know in my head and what I believe in my heart are two entirely different things.
I like either Despondence IV or The Resilience.
Umm, for the drawing, don’t make it look anything like the Death Star. I don’t think I would cope well with that LOL LOL.

Sorry to interrupt the train of thought, by i just wanted to say that i don’t think I’ll be continuing this story thread because i have a lot of other projects going on. I know, it’s kind of ironic, as i started this thread…đŹÂ But…. I’m not very good at committing.
Anyway, I’m excited to see what y’all do with this! Glad you could keep it going!!

So I looked up the meaning for Effervescence, and the first definition to come up was “bubbles in a liquid; fizz.” second was “vivacity and enthusiasm.” I LOVE the sound of the word, but I don’t know if the ship should be known as bubbles. Now, vivacity would definitely work as the meaning of the name; but I really like The Despondence IV and The Resilience. I think the second might do best, however, I love the menacing tone of the first — but would that deter people from coming?
Mel, I hate to break it to you, but I was imaging it as a Death Star, XD Now, we totally do NOT have to have it look that way, because that would just be to STAR WARSIE — even for me, lol But I think a round shape would accommodate the changing land-scapes best, so maybe we could come up with something original. I don’t know — maybe another type might do better. I really don’t have a picture in my mind except for a large beach ball. Help.
All of those terrains sound great! May I add one? Maybe they should have an artificial one (I know, theyâre ALL artificial) — with traps. Ya know, the classic âarrows shooting out of wallsâ âspiky walls closing in on youâ âaxes swinging from ceilingâ âmake a wrong step, push the wrong button, fall to your deathâ thing?
The Ampithetere sounds great! It would make a lot more sense than actually watching it in person.
And Ureka is SUCH a good name!

The Resilience is good with me. It kind of symbolizes what you need to win the games, and also how much of it you need.
Maybe Andorâs personal cruiser can be called the Despondence IV.

All right, hereâs a sketch of The Resilience. I was thinking that we could have the amphitheater/arena like a bubble inside of the ship, so thatâs what this shows. Let me know if thereâs anything I should change or add!

Man, that looks great! And the bubble was an awesome idea — we get the round aspect we were looking for, yet it doesn’t look like the Death Star and more like this amazing techy space-ship built by a gatrillionaire! It’s huge, right? I mean, big enough to sorta be like a planet itself; it’s gotta hold people from every planet’s countries.
BTW, I just thought of this: do we have aliens in our star-system?

Yes, it is pretty huge, Iâll have to get some sort of scale up sometime so we can really perceive the size. For now, planet-like in size works.
Aliens would be cool, but I feel like we all already have human characters and cultures so it might get complicated trying to integrate that in. If we can come up with some good ones we could try, though.

Nice brainstorming y’all! (I’ve been reading it all even though I haven’t actually been posting, lol). And I really stink at worldbuilding, so Aleck’s planet is going to be pretty bland and stuff. :/ Good thing he’ll mostly be on The Resilience!!

Yeah, Resilience is good. BUT just had a thought doesn’t resilience mean like stretchiness or something? But as @winter_rose mentioned… it does also mean “the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness” so maybe that will work. Actually, it WILL work. Good!
