Thank you; very encouraging. I might just feel in the mood to write a piece of a cloud…or the whole cloud.
Btw, it really isn’t MY definition. I am a Christian based on my doctrine that I believe in. Based upon the Bible. People call themselves Christians but not all the time that is true. You…[Read more]

Yeah, it was!…until we moved. To a town. Oh well…but we got a good church!
Lucky, I’ve only shot a bow once, but it was awesome! Yeah, hunting really isn’t offensive to me at all. XD Hey, God gave the dominion of the land to man. 🙂 Nice.
I gotta agree with you, I can’t force poetry either. It’s a craft like…[Read more]

Thanks, I give to thee, my friend
Of written lays that have no end
Of thought, of depth, of possible
Ideas that could be written down.Â
Your’s too, it truly, a work of art
And though I wouldn’t praise mine so
Your’s is too of the clouds, the gold
Though maybe more the falling cold;
The waters falling, sunset glint
These…[Read more]

Any modifications to the structure story-wise to my poem up there in the clouds, anyone? I thought it was somewhat shaky in that department. Meaning that each individual point was well presented, but they weren’t exactly glued together. I dunno, maybe it’s fine and I’m being a chicken.

And, no. I have not published any poems anywhere else officially. Though I hope to change that soon in the next upcoming months!! My book will be out, Lord willing, by next year!!! *shouts of cheering**confetti and all that stuff*

Ok, this is hilarious!! *ahem* (guffawing in the backround) Oh, um. (chortle) Sorry, there! Kinda deep and far out…(leaving the arena in spasms of laughter!!!) no comment…no, really…not like I’m serious or anything…?
I shall take into account your very personal opinions. *appearing dignified and…[Read more]

Nice! You like shooting, too? I used to live right smack in the middle of a bunch of rice fields and me and my pellet gun were the terror of the land. XD I haven’t got my own rifle yet, though. I’ve shot my Dad’s before; ’twas a lot of fun, truly. Do you hunt or just shoot targets? Or both?
I think you’ll be all…[Read more]

Ok, so there are a few things that you said about baptism and Christianity that aren’t exactly true (maybe not baptism, but I’ll delve into that [because you brought it up; beware! :)] too). So the act of getting baptized, specifically by another Christian is in obedience to what God demands of us. And we joyfully obey…[Read more]

Me: Well I hope Abner heels all right. Haflin has been detained for a while. He was need in a story. 🙂
Would you rather have: all your friends and the world think you are evil while being good, or have everyone think you are good while being evil?
Athlanntier: The former. I could show them…[Read more]

Another idea for later or now: a side detour and tour on dwarven “governmental” systems. I was wondering about how I should construct mine.

Dwarven mythology and the natural tendency to match it with other way-too-cliched works of now-boring fiction? How about that? Then after this (however brief or long) we could give a short/long presentation of any dwarven mythology any one of us has ever come up with. Or has had…[Read more]

*clears throat* (heh-cough) Yes, well back to the original idea of this post:
When old things die and leave this waste
Then new will come, control in all haste.
True, but not amusing, I know. What you y’all think?
You may like this idea 🙂

True, ’tis true, of what you say
This sadness, so provoking, stay
And feed this overwhelming loss
Where poetry does fully ‘lease.
Break the flow a’from the walls!
And charge a’through these broken halls!
Beat them down and flow the ground!
And crush these hurts into the mound!
Ohhh, the hurt does call to us,
We writers…[Read more]

Haflin? Would you mind giving a VERY simple explanation?
Haflin Glor: That was the part where you were supposed to tell them that they really didn’t want to know.
Me: Yes, well, some things must come out…even if they are unsatisfactory.
Haflin Glor: Fine. But only the basics and very brief and short. Abner? I only…[Read more]

Did you know that Tolkien based Luthien off of his wife? And that on her gravestone and his be placed their…metaphorical names? On her’s: Luthien. On his: Beren. Very interesting topic, that all. I wrote a paper on him last year.

Yeah, I know. He really adds a sincere twist to the plot and really just becomes an annoying wasp, in a sense. He’s got power and he’s against them, but after all they’ve been through, he’s not going to stop them from getting back home and securing themselves there (the hobbits at the Scouring of the Shire).
