Ello Parimis! It’s me, Jess! Yay. I feel like it’s been an age since I’ve written one of these, but today, we are looking at health while writing. This probably sounds an awful lot like what you’ve heard in PDHPE lessons, but just bear with me. 😀
Disclaimer: I am not a professional in any of the subjects discussed in this lesson, and am…[Read more]

@taylorclogston Oh, that makes sense. That’s what Amazon does, right? Or could you pick which way you want to do it?
Thanks for the explanation!

@taylorclogston I’m so glad to hear the insurance is settled and chipping in! As well as that you’ve got a ride at the moment.
Fifty members? Yes, let’s hope they don’t all show up just to check you out. xD

@taylorclogston Aaah, thank you so much. I really appreciate all your insights! Honestly, I wish I could repay you guys for the time you spent reading/analyzing/instructing. I definitely want to try your suggested exercise. And I really appreciate your doodle analogy. My older sister (a writer) has told me something similar before, but it’s…[Read more]

Up to lesson four now, Parimis! Today we’re hearing from Martin, and he’s looking at what he has dubbed, ‘the Artist’s Eye’. I can’t wait to get stuck into it. 😀
Thanks Martin!

That’s all really great advice everyone! @taylorclogston, I applause you for setting a schedule for yourself, I’m only just now getting on a schedule to write everyday so it’s great that you have everything planned out like that.

@taylorclogston Wow, sounds like a lot on your plate, but sounds like you’re off on a good start, having such a organized plan of what to do.
I’m not sure what to say about finding a “passion.” If you aren’t excited over a project I’m not sure why you should continue. Is there not a character? An aspect? A premise that gets you excited? What was…[Read more]

@taylorclogston That’s pretty ambitious! I tend to freak out if I try to make goals like that, so I admire the fact that you’re able to do that.
I think I understand how you feel. I’ve been experiencing something similar for the past few months ever since I set aside my major project. I couldn’t seem to find another story that clicked with me and…[Read more]

@taylorclogston Good job with formulating the schedule. I’m supposed to be an INFJ but I can never seem to make or stick to my own schedules. 😛
Listening to movie soundtracks really help me when writing (or doing schoolwork). It blocks out other distractions so that I can focus better, strangely enough.
When I have trouble envisioning a story…[Read more]

So far I’ve rewritten the prologue. I sort of like how it’s turning out, though knowing me I’ll have it changed completely in a few weeks. 😛

@taylorclogston Thanks!
Hmm. Let’s see if I can give a good summary.
So, my project (it’s titled 51) is a sci-fi, time-traveling novel about a guy named Zeb, who had a terrible relationship with his dad, who never supported his efforts in the field of science. The day before he was bound to leave for college, though, his father was shot by a man…[Read more]

@taylorclogston Hmm. That’s an interesting point about the hero’s plan.
What I wrote – Lots of notes for my Camp NaNoWriMo novel, which starts today! *cue internal screaming*
What I read – The Old Man and the Sea, a collection of poetry, and Made You Up, which had a fascinating concept and amazing characters, but I wouldn’t suggest to anyone.…[Read more]
