Hello, Rose!
Nice! Well, I have a work-in-progress but it is still in concept form. Do you have one?

Just looked at your signature. IT’S IN LATIN!!! Thank you for that! Ok, it means…
Always where under where (???)
Can you please explain that?

Really? That’s weird, I didn’t realize that. But it’s so good! Where did you hear of it and read it? I’m homeschooled and it was part of the curriculum.

Nice to meet you!
Oh my goodness! My family and I are reading The Wednesday Wars right now. That is the only Gary D. Schmidt book I have read but it is very good. I also like The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. Have you read it?
Neat! I love blueberries.
Ooo, I have read some of those! I have not read…[Read more]

This character of mine who doesn’t have a name yet; he is my main antagonist, serving under the main villain. He has been running from his past for many years, and that is pretty much what he is doing right now!

I totally get that.
Hmmm… I’ll have to think about that… Maybe he lost a limb that can’t grow back…? Never mind, I don’t think I’m helping anymore… 😜😂
Of course! I’ll tag some more people to give more thoughts (hopefully–come on guys, don’t let me down &#x…[Read more]

@sparrowhawke I’ve actually read Wednesday Wars before! I didn’t really like it, I think because I don’t usually read that genre. I should try his other books though!
@zee I really love Madeline L’Engle! I usually don’t like sci-fi but her books are always really good! I haven’t heard of the other books you mentioned, so I’ll add those to my r…[Read more]

Yeah, it is pretty close from what I’ve seen! I’d definitely say it’s worth learning. (And, given that you know Latin, it shouldn’t require too much effort. 😉 )

Thanks for the answers! And the good questions you mentioned. It seems they can help me to develop my writing.I think this character is disappointed in the church. His arc will be: how to trust again the children of God?
Thanks also for suggesting to pray over this theme. Yes, The…[Read more]

@epicaddie2, that’s an interesting question. I’d argue that any book has a message, whether the author necessarily intended it or not, but it’s not always a good or true one–and I assume that’s what you’re looking for. One book I thoroughly enjoyed as a child was The House of Sixty Fathers by Meindart DeJong. It’s more of a Middle Grade reading…[Read more]

I really like how you’re writing Kiark! I can see how he’s trying and struggling. It’s really fun to read! I hope he gets better though…
Thank you! I’m glad I’m not completely boring you 😛 Part of the reason for all the monologue is me trying to figure him out. And yes, he does turn over a new leaf (which I am persona…[Read more]

IKR!? I thought it was hilarious that the Romans had a specific word for: ‘maker of tunics with long sleeves’ but they don’t have a word for ‘yes’.(Unless you count ‘certe’) Who thought that was a good idea?
Here’s something else I thought was quite funny:

Hi Sparrow!
That’s a good one, and totally true. Same with Virgil. Sometimes the verb would be halfway down the page!
My turn for a Latin joke!
Did you hear of the frog who did Latin prose competition? The other frogs said of him “Scribit, Scribit”

@sparrowhawke Salve! Nice to meet another Latin speaker (well, as close as one can get to being one without anyone actually speaking it today) (as you can tell, I’m rather bitter about that). What are some of your favorite Latin words?
