A very good observation, Bethany @sparrowhawke.
There are many biblical allusions made in Shakespeare’s works. I believe this one in the quote references:
What is the price of two sparrows–one copper coin? But not a single sparrow can fall to the ground without your Father knowing it. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t…[Read more]

I really love this one, from the end of Julius Caesar:
His life was gentle, and the elements
So mixed in him that Nature might stand up
80And say to all the world, “This was a man.”Why? partly because it’s a praise of Brutus, whom I liked, but mostly because I think it a very high compliment; not that he was ric…[Read more]

@sparrowhawke thanks for stopping in!
Oh, good! Another Hamlet lover! Do you have anything specific you can pinpoint as a reason why you like it so much? I would say for me it’s the man Hamlet (he’s such a great guy!) as well as the marvelous writing and compelling story-line.
Yes, the Lawrence Olivier version is good, though very much…[Read more]

Man, it’s hard to pick favorites! I relate to “Oh, Sleeper” a lot (they actually wrote it as the Enneagram 9 song; although I’m a 5, I relate to some 9 things). “Blue Eyed Girl” is so sweet, as well as “The Ballad of Donnie Gene”, and “Hey Runner!” and “Fall: War” are really fun and catchy!
Ooh, that’s awesome! I found Blue E…[Read more]

Was that intentional or more like “Oh, they have the same name, oops XD”? Because that’s happened to me XD
Either way, that’s really cool! 🙂

I’m trying to develop my villain but I want that “love to hate” relationship between my reader and villain. So to help me out can you tell me who some of your favorite villains are and why you love to hate them? (Or just love them. Or just hate them. 👍)
I don’t care if it’s movie, tv show, book or w…[Read more]

Finishing written work is an exciting thing. One wise person once said
“There’s nothing like holding your book in your hands and just be like THIS IS MINE I DID THIS”
or something like that.
Anyways, this is just a place for you to share what you’re most excited for once you are a published and known author. (Because if you truly work for that…[Read more]

A marriage to the Duke of Saxony would create a valuable alliance, but if you Flemish want to make peace with the French, a marriage with the Count of Champagne would be an auspicious decision.
I feel like I might be in the wrong time period…

I loved that poem very much! It does need some polishing up, as all our work does, but it also resounded with me deeply. I have a fear of people not liking me, so I oftentimes don’t say what I want to say because I’m worried something will go wrong and I’ll spoil a friendship. I’m always telling myself ‘one day I’ll be bold, one…[Read more]
