I second what everyone else has been saying…bad love poetry (or, really, bad poetry in general) is sappy, melodramatic (i.e. dramatic in an insincere way), cliched, and preferably full of awkwardly flowery diction.

I mean…I remember that the concept of “the red badge of courage” has to do with being wounded in battle…because blood is red…

And I *think* the theme, if you will, was an open-ended question of whether going to war is actually courageous or not. But it’s been a long while since I read it.

Scene cards are awesome! Basically I just jot down the things that need to happen in my story onto index cards. Sometimes it’s more of a big scene that needs a lot of filling in, sometimes I know down to the details how I want something to go, so I break scenes into smaller “scenes” for my cards…sometimes it’s somewhere in between…[Read more]

Well mostly I’m realizing that I haven’t posted about my WIP here yet, so I should probably do that. xD

And I might start doing scene cards tonight. I think I need a better idea of what all I want in my story and generally where I want it to go. I tried to be a pantser, but I don’t know if I can pull it off. 😛

Berry (the squirrel) decided the dog was probably gone by now, and this place wasn’t doing her any good anyway. She leaped off the man’s (Levi’s) head, onto a table, and down to the floor.
