@princess-foo You’re welcome! Glad I could provide a new angle to the discussion. And btw, I personally find the storyline of Character B more sympathetic. I don’t think I can say it is objectively more sympathetic. Reading over what I wrote above, I may have been a little imprecise in some of my wording about Character A’s…[Read more]

Hello again, Ereki!
Boy, you are all getting a whole bunch of emails from all the tagging I’m doing tonight. XD I promise, there won’t be a whole lot more of them. Tonight. 😛
But anyway, I’m happy to announce that we have two new guildlings with us!
Please welcome @michael_stanton and @caserola! Because this is so close on the heels of our…[Read more]

Hey Ereki!
The guildmasters have been thinking once again.
As you’ve noticed, activity has been pretty low here. Same with the other guilds.
That’s fine if everyone’s busy, but if it’s just because the guilds weren’t attractive enough…
…well, we should do something about that then.
After talking it over with some of the other SE staff, we h…[Read more]

@catwing That’s awesome! Are you making a costume for Realm Makers, then? Hope you had fun with the contest!
@sageinthemeadow That’s great! 🙂 My goals have been… pretty good, I think. I did run every day (I’m trying to run at least 2,000 miles this year), and I did a considerable amount of reading…[Read more]

Prompt War time! This month’s prompt is fairly straightforward: Write a mystery. The deadline is July 28th, and the word limit is 2500 words.

Gathering Inspiration from Others
At different points in our writing journey, we find ourselves more or less empty of ideas. This can happen in between projects, or in the middle of a project. I’m not talking about w…[Read more]

Hey all! This is the question/discussion piece that @princess-foo submitted a few days ago. My internet connection has been less than helpful in allowing me to post a response so far. Here’s to hoping this one works. I’m definitely copy/pasting before hitting enter this time!
Here’s what she said:

Hello Ereki!
Apologies for the lack of posting last week. I was camping (with some local Story Embers peeps!). But here I am again, and I’ve decided that we’ll host a double-feature discussion this week. I’ll post last week’s discussion now, and this week’s discussion on Wednesday. That way we get a chance to talk about both, and we’ll be up to…[Read more]
