I wrote 2,772 words this week. That’s from last Sunday to Friday. Do the words we wrote on Sunday not count? Something you said earlier seemed to imply that.
If so, I wrote 197 words on Sunday. Making the total 2,575.
By the way, I just watched this YouTube video. Y’all need to check it out:
He’s talking about music,…[Read more]

*cheers and high-fives every one*
I got 448. I know I completely failed my goal and that I could have done better.

^ I’ve been working on this. It’s so easy to praise God when you feel good, (like I do right now, I don’t know why though) but I confess I had a hard week and forgot to praise God even t…[Read more]

Hey Saxon Scribes,
To be honest, this post is more about me learning from you all then offering any great wisdom. When you have a complex story world, anything from a fantasy world or ancient Persia, you’ve probably faced this huge dilemma.
On the one hand, readers could be extremely confused (maybe they’ll even completely misinterpret what is…[Read more]

Noah Litle started the topic Name That City! in the forum New Wessex Writing Discussions 7 years, 5 months ago
Hey, guys!
I need some ideas. I have a city that needs a name.
So, the city is a kind of modern (think early 1900s) city, but with an ancient roman/middle eastern twist. That basically means they have an arena for ancient roman style games and an open marketplace squeezed between industrial brick.
Fire away!
Hit me.
I’m open to any…[Read more]

Hello, friend! 😀
Hey, that’s better than me. I was hoping to get more writing done tonight…but my sister is dragging me off to a volleyball game. Ugh! I’m not a athletic person and I don’t like volleyball. 😬 *shivers*
ANYWAYS…sorry for that little rant.
Those are good goals!

Daeus Lamb started the topic What do you want to study next? in the forum 7 years, 5 months ago
Hey Saxon Scribes,
For something like six months now, we’ve studied character development every week. It’s been a good journey, but now I’m coming to the point where I don’t have a whole lot more to discuss. If anything else comes to mind, I’ll make a topic out of it, but if nothing comes to me, next week I think we could start on something…[Read more]

Every word counts! And I totally know where you are coming from. I have the same problem. In fact, I’m wondering if I set my goal too high because I’m getting hardly anything done, much less 1,000 words. If I could write regularly every day, I would be happy. And this is embarrassing that I haven’t written anything yet because I…[Read more]

(Rose Mary Louise, yeah, I need to go write too. 😀)
But first…do you guys have a daily or weekly goal? As of now, my daily goal is: 1,ooo and my weekly goal is 7,000. If I accomplish more I’m gonna try and do more.
I am really looking forward to this word war especially…[Read more]

As everybody knows a giant Word War is going on right now. Happily for all the people participating in NaNoWriMo, because they have double motivation. When they write in their WIP they get words in for NaNoWriMo and for the Word War.
It’s a little bit harder for those of us not participating in NaNoWriMo. At least it is more me…maybe I’m the…[Read more]

Guys, this is crazy. A little sad. Absolutely awesome.
The word war. How’d we do?
We actually beat the record from past guild wars! I was amazed. We had 51,082 — a whole novel’s worth in a week.
So, the winner?
……
With 72,127 words, it goes to Parimi Alca. I’m super impressed with those guys, especially since I’ve heard they’re the…[Read more]
