I think I’ll be on for a bit. I’m recovering from getting my wisdom teeth removed, so I have some extra writing time. 🙂

Hey guys,
Its been a while since this thread was active, but I absolutely love the chances we get on here to chat about his-fic so I was thinking we could revitalize it.
Other than the things we already discuss on here, I was thinking we could put together a twice weekly (or just weekly) discussion question. Say, on a certain day each week, I…[Read more]

Given the (hopefully temporary) collapse of the KP forum, I am creating this thread to announce that Part 3 of Queen of Drama has been uploaded for review. I am not very satisfied with this part since I did not cover as much as I intended to but I think it is best that I…[Read more]

@seekjustice @ashira @catwing @rochellaine Am I the only one who’s having trouble accessing KP?
-
Ahh! It wont let me in! It says I dont have permission to access the page and stuff.
-
Yeah, same here. It’s like it timed out on us or something. @josiah Is that possible? Did KP time out on us?
-
-
Josiah said on a different topic “Yes–unfortunately, Kingdom Pen is currently down… :/ Not sure if the owner shut the site down or not. Currently waiting to hear back from him about that.”
-
@dekreel Yeah–like @ashira mentioned, I’m not sure what’s going on here. :/ Last I talked with Reagan, he said he was going to be leaving the site up indefinitely, but I don’t know if plans changed on his front or if this is just a glitch with the web hosting. Currently waiting to hear back from him on the status of KP.
-
Okay, great. Thanks so much, @josiah! Tell Reagan thanks, too.

Thank, @josiah !

@seekjustice @rochellaine @selah-chelyah @ashira @northerner Thank you so much everyone for helping me!! you guys are great. I really needed the question answered. The reason I asked the question is because it’s for my story. I don’t like giving too much away but The story is about a Victorian version of Moses… in a way LOL

@Rochellaine, @eden-anderson, I wrote an American Civil War novel some years ago, in which a somewhat important plot point was the heroine’s needing to get married, despite not being very excited about it or in love with anyone. I collected quite a few sources on love and marriage during the war. If anyone wants them, I can dump links in the…[Read more]

Sorry, I didn’t get back to you guys yesterday. It was Sunday and I had the Wifi turned off.
But I’m here now!
Okay, so you want to know about conditions for the poor in England, Italy and Russia in the 1800s to 1900s? Like Rochellaine said, it’s an extremely broad question.
If you want to know…[Read more]

@rochellaine Thanks so much for giving me the answers to my questions. It’s fine you stopped at World War 2, that part of history is pretty much modern and not that old fashioned. Now, World War 1 is another story;)

@rochellaine Cool!
@michelle Something neat – Did you know Rochellaine is in law school? And she knows so much history she is very awesome to talk too!

Michelle Rose replied to the topic For All The Historical Fictioners in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 7 months ago
@rochellaine Yeah poor people always had it rough even today, but we are much nicer today than ever. Poor people in the 1800’s and 1900’s England, Italy and Russia. that’s what I’m talking about. I should have been more specific huh:)
-
Michelle Rose replied to the topic For All The Historical Fictioners in the forum General Writing Discussions 7 years, 7 months ago
@rochellaine Well the time period is not set in stone yet, but I do know In the 1800’s and 1900’s things were not looking to good for the poor people.That’s all I know:) Were people mean to the poor folk?
