WELCOME TO THE GUILD! 😄

Hi @PursueWisdom

I have read Calvin Miller’s Singer Trilogy and it is excellent!
You really should check it out.
It goes through the Creation story in poetic verse and I was thoroughly impressed.  I had the 3 hardback versions of it but lost them in a move many years ago.
Great stories back in ancient times were told by bards in long heroic ba…[Read more]

Great to meet you @pursuewisdom!

Looks like you were put in the guild for a reason! Most of us here write speculative fiction, so we certainly have some common ground.

Also, timezones are not an issue. 😀 I am an Aussie, so we are kinda used to just operating by whatever time people go by.

@obrian-of-the-surface-world Amen. *nods* You have…[Read more]

Greetings, fellow Parimi Alcaians!! (<– please correct me if I’m addressing our guild incorrectly)

I’m one of the newbies here. 🙂 And since I’ve already introduced myself in a bio thread, I’ll link it here for any of those who may be interested: https://storyembers.org/forums/topic/a-n-intj-history-buff-narnian-team-cap-me/

Something I…[Read more]

And also…

HAI, AZE! You got put in my guild!! *waves like crazy*

@pursuewisdom You’re welcome! The guilds are so awesome, and I’ve learned a crazy amount since I joined. I hope you enjoy your stay. 😉

Oh, cool! I haven’t heard of those books. I’ll definitely have to look into them!

@cassie-hartfinh Hrmm…well, seemingly kiwis don’t affect their system. *squints* Not sure about mint Oreos though. I haven’t…[Read more]

gentle ladies and kind sirs, I regret to inform you that I was only able to participate in this war (what a gruesome name and concept! oh!) for a short amount of time, and have been frightfully busy with all sorts of frustrating matters since then.

My lords @wordsmith, and @theinconceivable1, and the good ladies @pursuewisdom, @selah-chelyah, and…[Read more]

Thank you, my dear. Ohh, *sobs* I don’t know what I would do with out you. You are so kind to me…so kind… *sobs* everyone is so kind in this lovely place. It fills my heart, oh! *breaks down weeping*

I really must stop this blubbering, though! It’s so…unrefined. Pray tell, there wouldn’t be a…[Read more]

@pursuewisdom Was I summoned, madam?? 😉

Purse of wisdom… love it. xD

@wordsmith @pursuewisdom (aka purse-of-wisdom 😉)

*hides face in shame*

Ahhh, forgive me, good Sir…and gentle Madam, but because of circumstances beyond my control I was unable to participate in this. (actually it was just procrastination…) With the deepest regret I speak these words to you and ask humbly for thy pardon.

@pursuewisdom @theinconceivable1

I got 2147 words.

@wordsmith  @pursuewisdom

Ooh, I love crazy titles as well! 😀 (I am Lady Chelyah on another, very crazy topic…)

Unfortunately I cannot join the 24-hr word war, though it sounds like a lot of fun!! Hope you all have a ton of fun…and get lots of words, fellow Merakians! 😛

@pursuewisdom

Thank you for letting me know about the tags… Somehow I don’t quite understand how spacing works with them. Also, I’m color deficient, so the blue barely stands out to me, and only if I’m looking carefully.

And as for the time frame… wait… I guess you’re right… my bad… my confusion.

So that means the war did end… and…[Read more]

Okay… so I’m not sure how many of you participated in the 24 hour war… but it’s officially done for me. Eden you are EST, so technically your time is not over. That means I won’t yet post my word count until the affirmed time is over. 🙂

@wordsmith: hum… I see where you can change your name but not where you can change your tag… is your tag set in stone?

@pursuewisdom: hey I’m already a prince so I’m pretty happy with my title already XD
