I’m pretty good at memorizing things, but it would take me a while with something as long as my synopses, so I’ll just keep it handy in case someone ever asks about it. Which they inevitably will. 😉 I suppose we are a writing community, so…
Haha, it’s true, people are very different when it comes to reading about a book and how…[Read more]

Yes, you should! It’s a really awesome place. 🙂
That’s a good idea. I should keep my Synopses and stuff in a place I can access it easily so I don’t have to go searching every time someone asks me about my story. Haha, it would be pretty handy. Ya, I would be impressed as well. 😉
That’s always nice when you finally write a good…[Read more]

I’d lose interest and sympathy in a protagonist if he keeps making bad decision time after time. But a  huge factor would be how bad the decisions are, and how often he makes them. Say there’s something he needs to choose between, and he makes the obviously bad choice and then keeps doing that repeatedly, I’d get tired of him pretty…[Read more]

I’ve never heard of that one, though I’ve only heard of a few of the main, well known curriculums.
Ya, I love Sonlight, and the reading is like the best part of it! All of my siblings and I learned to love reading relatively young because of all the awesome books they give us to read, and it just makes school more enjoyable. And…[Read more]

Ya, sorry for the misunderstanding. Haha, that happens with me some. Lol. Ya, you should definitely check it out, even if you don’t join! They have this thing called the Crazy Writing Week where there are two teams who race to see how many words they can write in one week and how much time it takes, and whichever team has the most…[Read more]

WIP Synopses
Justin is an introverted, contemplative, eleven-year-old growing up in the best place imaginable: Heaven. But not everything is as picture perfect as people think. Yes, he has great friends and even walks and talks with Jesus, but there’s one thing he longs for with all his heart. He wants to meet his parents and sister, who still…[Read more]

Oh, I thought I saw you on there, haha. I suppose I’ve just seen you on Alabama Rose’ blog. I’m not super good with links and such 😛 but you can look up The Young Writers Workshop. It’s super cool, but you have to pay to join, though the resources and community are great.
Ya, it’s hard to finish what you’ve started, though it depends…[Read more]

Hey, don’t know if you’ve seen me around on there or not, but I’m on YDubs. 🙂 I just joined in the last month, so you might not have seen me on there yet.
Welcome to Story Embers! It’s really nice for sharing your writing and seeing what people think, as well as getting good input. I’ve done it a couple times and it’s super…[Read more]

Really? That’s weird, I didn’t realize that. But it’s so good! Where did you hear of it and read it? I’m homeschooled and it was part of the curriculum.

Olivia Catherine replied to the topic HELP my Character Wakes Up with no memory in the forum General Writing Discussions 5 years, 9 months ago
I haven’t read a ton of books where people lose their memory 😉 but here are some things I thought of when you asked how I would react. For one thing, since I’d still know some stuff about earth and how it works, I’d probably really wonder if I have a family and if they were worried about me. After all, if I did have one, they probably…[Read more]

Cool, our family does a lot of stuff outside as well. Like camping in tents in the bush, going on canoe trips, and blueberry picking.
Man, I have so many! For starters, I really like the Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart, Sunrise at Normandy by Sarah Sundin, Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine, Carry On…[Read more]

Oh, that’s a hard one… probably Edmund. He’s mischievous, and I can just imagine him trying something disgusting just to get a reaction out of people. 😀
Question: Who would be most likely to give up their life for someone they loved?
