@thewirelessblade Yeah, my C2 is basically just a growl. XD E2 is the lowest I can go comfortably too.
A0?? That’s the same as the lowest note on a piano. I’d have to hear it in context before I believed it.
@seekjustice You and your sister can rest in peace. Jesus is sung by a bass in Bach’s St. Matthew Passion. I would highly recommend ch…[Read more]

Well, the only intellectual stories I can think of right now are the movies Following, Memento, and The Usual Suspects. All of them use non-linear narrative to pack a punch of a plot twist at the end. They’re amazing. But they’re also have a LOT of bad language. And no moral compass. And I think the former two are rated R. I’ve onl…[Read more]

Thanks so much! I really appreciate your time and effort. You honesty here is invaluable. I look forward to making it better.
I’m curious, what did you think of Diomedes’ outburst at the end? Was that too abrupt?

I could fit it in if you need me to.
But if you don’t need me to, I think I’ll opt out. I’m feeling rather overwhelmed right now. 🙂

@r-m-archer Thanks for tagging me.
I play piano mostly. I also know a few chords and a couple songs on guitar, and I play a little hammered dulcimer and melodica.
I also love singing, especially A Capella. @thewirelessblade I’m a bass, too. A cool fact, I can sing lower now than I could a couple years ago. I think I stretched it a whole step. I…[Read more]

@bama-rose I’ve never heard of a piano exam. What is it?
@literatureforthelight Yeah, we should write more musical stories.
Which era of classical music is your favorite? Do you have a favorite composer? Favorite worship song to play?
I recently discovered Vaughan Williams’ Phantasy Quintet. It’s amazing!

@msqueen8 😀 Hee hee. I may or may not spend too much time watching YouTube videos.
I actually found Like Stories Of Old by following a rabbit trail from the video on the Themes and Batman thread.
Yeah, that was a really good find.

@r-m-archer I know, right? I actually read the screenplay first, and liked it better than the movie. But I think the movie captures the heart of the short story better. (I liked the screenplay better than the short story too. XD )
It’s one of those movies where you have to grasp the heart of the story before you can appreciate it fully. Like…[Read more]

Hey, guys! I’m here! Sorry I’m so late.
Okay, so I kind of dismissed this thread, because I’m not really a world builder (sorry, @daeus-lamb). But just today I realized how this topic applies to my own writing (and my aversion to world building).
I was watching some Like Stories Of Old videos from YouTube (check him out here, like, seriously @kat…[Read more]

Oh, I just remembered, I also wrote two guild-war entries. One of which won. 😀
And I’m currently working on writing my one story. You know, that one story that’s most important to you? I’m working on mine right now. Using Theme Mastery to do the outline. I’m excited to see how it turns out. I’ll likely write a spec script out of it. We’ll see.

Hey, @eden-anderson. Thanks for tagging me.
What I Wrote:
Mostly chronologically,
1) The beginning of a short story for a writing class. Something like 2k-3k?
2) A blog post for my application to be a Story Embers intern. Didn’t get the job. But that’s okay.
3) The first two parts of a six part short story. Working title: Game. Gave it up…[Read more]

How soon do you want the feedback?

Yeah, I know enough about music to sound impressive, but I’m actually not that good. I play like Algernon Moncrief: “I don’t play accurately. Anyone can play accurately. But I play with wonderful expression.” XD
Violin is a cool instrument. How long have you been playing?
This is the first time music has appeared with any…[Read more]

So… finally getting to your question about my being a musician… XD
I am a musician.
To elaborate, I’ve been playing piano for fourteen years. I also dabble a little in the hammered dulcimer, guitar, and melodica (not at the same time XD ). I also own a few other instruments that I don’t play. To name a few: recorder, cello,…[Read more]

Hey, don’t feel badly. I think this is just a phase.
Personally, I’ve had a lot going on at home, and not much pulling me here. Well, that’s not entirely true. I’ve still questions from @theinconceivable1 , @ericawordsmith , @ann-of-lothlorien , @eden-anderson (yeah, sorry I haven’t gotten back to you yet), and @daeus-lamb that I…[Read more]

It’s still pretty hard to believe that we won.
Everyone did really well this time. I especially like entry three.
