So, first off, I think I’ll post the link to the google doc every week, so it’s really easy to access and fresh in people’s memories. (The google doc for asking questions, that is.)
But until I get more questions in there, I’ll keep asking you guys a question each week.
How vivid is your imagination?
To give some context for this question, read this article:
I found it fascinating, because it explained things about myself that I had never before thought about. Such as the fact that I do not have a strong visual imagination at all! I don’t think I have full-on aphantasia as it’s described in the article, but I definitely do not visualize things easily, particularly if I’m trying to do so intentionally.
Quite literally, my mind can conceptualize ideas and the connections between them much better and easily than images. It explains why my characters have never felt like actual people to me, with faces that I have visualized, features, or any of the rest. There’s just a general ‘feel’ for who they are, and it’s mostly internal.
So anyway, what about you guys!? What is your mind’s eye like?
