Jane Maree started the topic {Story Theory – Week 17} Journaling and Story Writing in the forum Annual Theme Discussion 7 years, 3 months ago
After reading Brandon’s post this morning, I got thinking about journaling and how that could help with writing well.
Now, I don’t journal. I’ve always loved the idea. My sister does it a lot, and I’ve tried multiple times. I’ve tried everything from an ordinary journal to a fun, artsy bullet journal, but none of them really stick.
So today’s topic is going to be a bit of throwing ideas around. First of all, do you journal? How often do you do it? What sort of journal do you write?
I would still like to actually properly journal, but maybe I’m just in the wrong mindset for it and I could actually do it if I just took the time for it every now and then. I don’t know. 😛
Do you think keeping a journal helps (or would help) you to write better? If you journal: why do you do it? What do you like best about it? And if you’re like me and you don’t: why don’t you? Do you wish you did?
Share all the thoughts below! I’d love to know what you think, and I’m also open to inspiration for trying journaling once again if you’d like to give me ideas. 😛
