Filewriter replied to the topic Prompt War: a funny story about the mona lisa… in the forum Announcements 8 years ago
@emgc, Hmm, I would like too, but I don’t know if I’ll be too busy. Um, hopefully not. I just don’t want to commit to it and then not be able to finish it in time because something came up.
But… if you want help writing it, @princess-foo, I can do that. I don’t think I have anything big going on tomorrow after church. And today is free. So……[Read more]

I didn’t make any goals on here, but I did have the goal of finishing Chapter 14 of my book. And I did it! Yay!
I also am past 100 pages on that same work, so… I’m very proud of myself for getting to that milestone. 😉

@catwing, @princess-foo, @morreafirebird, @devastate-lasting.
I think you guys made a lot of good points. If it has to be anonymous, then using the same characters wouldn’t work. But I had the exact same idea that Audrey said. We could just change the names. Since before they were on a chat and probably didn’t use their actual names. Maybe. Of…[Read more]

@morreafirebird Okay, I didn’t get to help with the last two wars, but I’m here now. Just tell me where I need to be. I REALLY hope I can help this time.
Yes, Thank you, @enu. We wouldn’t want that to happen again. But, I still think we can be proud of that story. It was still awesome, and pretty funny. XD

Sadly, I have the same story as @ajaj2000. I was not feeling well this week and wrote under 500 words. So, sorry guys.
But, @morreafirebird and @emgc, you two did great!

Sadly, I was sick all week and only wrote less than 500 words. :'(
So… I can’t be of any help in the Word War. So sorry guys.
As for the rest of you, good job on your goals!

Thank you so much for critiquing this for me, @lydia-writes. I really appreciate it.
Okay, yeah. I understand what you mean about more mysterious. I am definitely going to have to work on that. And making it sorter. True, there is a lot of information, but it’s supposed to be like that. I’ll try to make it a little less “info dumpy” though. It’s…[Read more]

Okay, I got my piece. It’s about one of my favorite characters from my book series The Hostanica Files. He is in my main WIP Classified. This is when he’s fourteen, so four years ago. It was so fun to write, and the first time I’ve written from his POV. I also think it turned out to be… sad/sweet. Hehe, my poor boy. You have no idea what I am…[Read more]

@sarah-inkdragon, I am finally getting back to you on critiquing this. It’s still in view only, so I couldn’t highlight anything. If you were to change it, I could go back and do that. Anyways, let me get started.
Flow~ I think the way it flowed was good. The way and order the details came were entertaining to me. Like, at first it’s like, “Oh,…[Read more]

@sarah-inkdragon, thank you! That clears things up nicely. Those are some very good suggestions. I will definitely put in some more subtext(something I like doing anyways) and make it shorter.
Yes, Frederick is my villain. It’s just that, the prologue is from his POV so, to himself, he’s the good guy, but as you get more into the story, and into…[Read more]

Writing every day- Good.
Finishing Chapter- Getting there.
Painting- Ugh, why did I even make that a goal. There is no way I can finish it this week.
Um… Yes, I could use a cookie or two.
This week has been SO busy, and I haven’t been writing nearly as much as I want to, but I guess that’s just life right now.
Goodnews though, my little…[Read more]

@karthmin, Yes! Chapter 1 is still giving me a little touble, but the part I was having the most trouble with isn’t any more.
It was just like, “Wait, I don’t really need to have this part. Goodbye, you toublesom paragraphs!”
That might sound lazy, but it really wasn’t a needed, or wanted, part. So, yeah. Very helpful. You can see how I did n…[Read more]

@sarah-inkdragon, I did really get to finish my reply last time because we had guests come in right when I was in the middle of it.
Anyways, I don’t have much to add, just a few things. 🙂
First, I was a little confused. You said I could make it as mysterious as I wanted it, and then listed a bunch of questions. Does that mean that I could make…[Read more]

@sarah-inkdragon, thank you! That’s helpful, but… Well, a lot of those questions that you were talking about are actually in Chapter 1. Kind of.
thank you for all your help. I’m glad you thought it flowed pretty well.

@karthmin, Thank you! Yes, I saw those. 🙂
Wow, that is great advice! Especially since the prologue originally was supposed to be a lot shorter. When I first read your reply I put that same advise on Chapter 1, the one that I am writing now, and it solved a lot of the trouble that I was having. So, thanks. 🙂

@emgc, Oh, that was you! Yes, I saw those. Thank you! They were very helpful. Very.
Yes, that part wasn’t that action packed and, sadly, chapter one isn’t really either. But hopefully, since it’s kind of suspenseful it will keep readers interested to go on. 🙂 I am trying to get out of a slow part in the part that I am writing right now. Any…[Read more]
