Hey guys!
So far, it looks like the general consensus is for the young girl jumping off the train and being shocked by the world around her. I’m also thinking to get really nice character voice, we should go for first person (present or past) as that is a very deeply biased voice.
@Esjohnson has made a different suggestion on the doc, but I…[Read more]

@cassie-hartfinh Sounds interesting. One of the main things we need to be keeping in mind though is that we need the character voice to be amazing. Super unique and real. Often it is good to display this through, as @steward-of-the-pen suggested, something we’re all familiar with. Then again, we don’t all want to do the exact same thing.
I think…[Read more]

Welcome to our lovely frosty (or maybe sweltering, depending on where you are) first lesson of July! We’re going to be focusing on emotions in storytelling today. What do emotions have to do with pacing and suspense? Glad you asked.

Hmmm, indeeeeeeeed. The main thing is that I don’t know anyone, and I don’t think I can invite anyone into a cabin now… too late in the session.
If we can get 5 people interested, I’ll make a cabin. (If possible.) I will be in two cabins, but hey! That’s fiiiiine.

@aysia-serene So, how do you pronounce your name, then? I understand the feeling, though. My name is spelled with a ‘y’ instead of an ‘a’, so everybody thinks it’s MY-ruh, instead of muh-RYE-uh. It’s the latter, y’all, just getting that out there so you don’t come against my wrath after just meeting me! You’re welcome. ;P

@aysia-serene *waves* Yaaaay! You made it! And we’ll do our best not to scare you away. That’s no good. *pats*
So, do you not bother correcting the people by saying that:
- No, it is spelt differently
- No, it is pronounced differently
- No, Asia is a continent not a country
I look forward to seeing you around a little bit!

So true… cynical is better than narcissistic though. XD
