@anne_the_noob14 I think someone’s written a whole handbook on wounds for writers.

If he’s not currently here. I have a little time before people arrive at my house.
If thou wouldst likest to put said person to shame. 😏

@anne_the_noob14 *snorts* My character doesn’t. He was perfectly happy having no side effects.
I, on the other hand, wasn’t happy with stretching realism. ๐
*twists mouth* I guess it is pretty crazy how many people get hurt in my story. . . hopefully it doesn’t feel like a stretch, since all of the situations are at least pretty reasonable.

@devastate-lasting Aaaaa yes the profile pic. . . so lovely. . . *gazes at it for several seconds before finally shaking herself and returning to what she was doing*
@anne_the_noob14 Poor Gwen XD. Oh, and Dari wasn’t actually the one that got poisoned. Will I tell you who it was? . . . not necessarily. ๐ I’m trying to think. . . *counts* I…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14 Keh, the arrow wasn’t a pleasant experience for my children! So what do you think I did? Skimmed over it. ๐
Dari: >:/ Yeah, YOU can skim over it, but we can’t.
Me: Oof. . . I’m sorry, buddy. . .
Also! If anyone has done poison research! Another child of mine gets poisoned during the story. He survives, but I’m thinking he…[Read more]

Would anyone like to Alpha/beta read my novelย Curtain’s Edge?
@anne_the_noob14 This is the novel I was writing during NaNoWriMo. You asked me to tag you for Beta reading.
@h-jones You probably don’t remember this, but a long time ago you asked me to tag you when I was accepting Betas. Since my book has changed titles and the plot has changed a…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14 Great topic!
Tai: Yeah! Real great! Or you could just, you know, let us live normal, peaceful lives and avoid the whole issue to begin with!
Ignore him. Anyways, yeah, usually I only need so much detail for these things, but I did some research into treating arrow wounds for my WIP. So though I may not be able to offer a ton of…[Read more]

@anne_the_noob14 My advice is to either a) Have a doctor friend, or b) Look for a post on the subject on Pinterest or Instagram. At least that’s where I get most of my information, though I never use it. ๐

Sorry got called away again. There’s a lot going on here. XD
I got…umm lemme check…253! Better than last time!
Oh no! What are you doing to poor Greyl now??

Hope McClellan replied to the topic Spontaneous Word Wars (for slow writers) in the forum General Writing Discussions 6 years, 8 months ago
Yep that’s pretty much how it goes. XD
Heh I’ll do the same. See you after 10 writing minutes!

I like the concept for Greyl, too. Sort of dryad-esque. It can be so fun to get into other characters’ heads! My WIP switches POV between my four main characters, and it’s a lot of fun. Most often it’s Asmund, who is an INFJ like me, so he sees things the way I do, he’s the most contemplative of a situation, and he’s observant so…[Read more]

Ooh I like it! I’m a little strange (aren’t we all, though?) I don’t usually like inflicting pain upon my characters, until I’m actually doing it. Then I love it. And I like writing arguments, too. I don’t know what it is with me. XD I guess it’s good that I enjoy all sides of writing, including conflict.
Well I’m a little late…[Read more]
