  • @winter_rose That’s a good idea.

    Zeinli watched the padawans running toward them, but pointed to the ship, gesturing that they go. Jaina and Will were running just ahead of her, also towards the ship. Zeinli paused and made sure that every clone was on their way, becoming the caboose and following behind Bo’.

    I had another idea. Maybe some characters get separated from the rest, and the main group has to leave without them. And then the separated characters rescue everyone on the battle cruiser.

    If we were to do this maybe we could switch it up so the characters who haven’t seen a lot of each other are together.

  • Yes. Lolol tis indeed. XD

    Zeinli watched the wolf people back down and begin to retreat.
    “To the ship! Go, go, go!” She hollered.
    Ivaylo and the king were already nearing it.
    The clones all hurried to follow Zeinli and Will.
    Jaina was looking out for the padawans as she followed.

    welp.

    That’s a good idea

  • “Goaina” 😂 Perfect.

    ~~~
    “Sir, we’re holding them off for now, but it’s not long before they break through our lines,” the hologram of the wolf captain said. The wolf governor paced anxiously, stroking his chin in concentration.
    “I’m calling for reinforcements,” the governor finally said.
    “No,” Count Dooku’s hologram said. “You will not call fo…[Read more]
    (decided to peak into the close connecting minds that is “Goaina” lol 😉 )
    Jaina? What’s happening?
    Goane? You’re alive!
    Jaina’s joyful exclamation echoed through his head.
    Goane smiled as he and Solstice hurried to the battle ahead. Then she added,
    Just more battling. What else?
    We are on the way.
    Goane…[Read more]
    Sorry, I didn’t see your post until just now!!
    And you’re fine, I’ve been a little busy anyways.
    Solstice and Goane quickly made their way through the smoking rubble of the droid factory. A heavy layer of ash and soot coated their clothes and skin. Twisted and deformed pieces of metal and machinery littered the groun…[Read more]
    “Set blasters to stun, all of you.” Zeinli commanded through her comm. “I’m not killing anyone today. We just need enough time to get the king to safety.” “Copy that.” Steady replied.
    “Rodger, Rodger.” Reel said, then let out, “-No! I’m no droid! I meant.. Uh… Right…[Read more]
    Ivaylo, Bo’, Gryphon, and the king charged out of the dark city streets and into the battle. Ivaylo offered cover for the others with his lightsaber while Gryphon and Bo’ fired at any droids within sight. They quickly reached Jaina and Zeinli’s sides and joined their efforts.
    “What are you doing here?” Zeinli asked.
    “Ou…[Read more]
  • (Sry it’s taken me a while lol…)
    Zeinli glanced at the direction the padawans had gone, worry creased her brows.
    They were making their way through the sea of smashed, blasted, and sliced battle droids, going through more as they came.
    She sliced at more droids, dodging their blasts.
    Will was doing the same beside her, and fellow clones and w…[Read more]
    How does that affect an airship?
    Depends – I suppose – on the genre and setting.
    Fantasy – not the forum for it.
    Sci-fi?  Well, most air-ships are go on the soft-side of sci-fi so you just need to be plausible and consistent enough that it doesn’t jerk the reader out of the story.
    For example, if you say that ships can fly…[Read more]
  • @hannahrenner
    Well, flying ships are quite a thing to read about or see in film. It is another matter to figure out how to make one fly. The current designs I have been working on use a combination of helium or similar material and large, high power engines. The real problem is the ones I am working on are warships. Armor is super heavy and…[Read more]
  • @rusted-knight
    Yo.  Flying ships.
    How’s your new design coming along?  And more importantly, how does it fly?
  • Whoa, that’d be an epic setting for a murder-mystery since it’d make it easier to explain why the sleuth is solving the crime instead of the police. Also just an epic novel setting in general, it looks so beautiful and exciting! I love the turkeys they looks like alien pilgrims.
    Wow that’d be a constant…adventure. I know we’ve had to be pretty…[Read more]
  • Cool, I hope it sparked some new ideas.
    Yeah, that movie had some fantastic visuals.  I’d recommend it.
    What’s it like in the mountains?
    The climate is very dry year round.  The major cities are pretty similar to any other I suppose, but if you’re crazy enough to live up in the mountains, it’s an experience.
    Here’s a pic I took just this mor…[Read more]
  • You’re good. I hope you had a good trip!
    (And yes, detonators were what I was thinking too.)
    ~~~~

    Solstice crouched atop one of the large generators and stuck the magnetic detonator to the metal surface. She jumped to the next generators and attached several more of the small bombs to them.

    “All ready up here,” she called softly down to Goane…[Read more]

  • So so so sryyyy I took way too long! I’ve been on a trip XD

    Goane carefully pried open the vent and peered out. No droids.
    He climbed out and helped Solstice down.
    The two looked around the room, then met each other’s eyes.
    Solstice nodded, and she tossed him a detonator (is that the right thing? XD).

  • I haven’t seen the movie but it looks like it’s got a great aesthetic and fascinating concept! Thank you for the advice, I like researching excessively but when it comes to si-fi concepts it does end up like a magic system. This baby’s been in deep-storage for years waiting for a good plot to go with it.
    I love the steampunk idea, I’d been startin…[Read more]

  • Have you seen upside-down?

    Trailer:

    Pretty interesting movie.  They solve the gravity problem — twice.  Of course, by “solve” I mean in sci-fi plot terms.  I guess from a writing perspective it’s a lot like a magic system in fantasy – as long as you establish clear rules for what it can do and its li…[Read more]
