Building Erekdale 2.0

^This is probably the first thing to really check out.

^ That is a document that we began for our worldbuilding of Erekdale. I don’t know how up to date it is because there have been a few different versions floating around. This link: https://storyembers.org/forums/topic/erekdale-worldbuilding-3-0/ is the most up-to-date work we are doing about worldbuilding.

Guild Positions

^ That is a cool thread if you’re interested in getting plugged in with a regular function/responsibility around the forum.

Threads to keep up with on a weekly/monthly basis:

– The Word Wars. Daeus makes a post on the public forum, announcing the Word War; our very own @catwing makes the announcement within Erekdale. These wars last one week

– The Prompt Wars. Once a month (that’s the current schedule) the Guilds participate in a short story prompt war that lasts two weeks; we brainstorm collectively and help each other write and edit a story under 2500 words. At the end of the contest, the stories are submitted anonymously to a judge (it’s a cycle of the Guildmasters) and the results are posted a few days later. @princess-foo coordinates the Prompt Wars.

– The monthly Accountability thread. We usually post a weekly summary of our goals, and our resident encourager @emgc checks in later on in the week to see how we’re doing.

– The Theme Discussion threads. Every week, a new topic is posted for discussion! We are currently going through a series on the Writer’s Life.

– The Weekly Wonderings thread. I post questions each week; or, there is an open doc where I tackle questions from you all. If there’s a question, I answer it that week. If not, I ask a question of you all.

If there’s anything else I forgot, a kind native will likely bring it to your attention.
