Hey everybody!
Before I get to the activity, I have a few announcements:
1) My fam is on vacation this week so this is the last you’ll hear from me. Lucky for ya’ll, the fabulous @Rolena-Hatfield had agreed to be acting guildmaster in my stead. (So hey, I guess you’re going to be rolling with her own personal brand of tyranny this week. I didn’t give her a lot of rules to follow. Have fun!)2) Word war counts are due tomorrow. Rolena will be around with more details on that when the time is right, but you gotta come on over and submit tomorrow or your words won’t count. (Sad, I know.)
3) I only have two announcements but 3 is a cooler number for lists.
Alright, the activity today involves the lists we’ve been creating. (Yay!) We are going to write descriptions/scenes using (some of ) the details from our lists. The catch? You’ve (presumably) already seen the locations you listed, but very few of you will have seen the locations in your novel. So, I everybody needs to swap lists. I tried to think of a way to do this easily, but I think the best way is just going to be to let y’all pair up. (Don’t leave anyone behind though. If we need a few groups of three, that’s fine too.) Take your friend’s list, and describe a scene using some details from their list and some new details that fit the scene. The point of these lists was to find details that hint at other details, so hopefully building off of the lists won’t be too tough.
Anyway, that’s all for this week. Have fun, write hard.
See y’all next time!
