Long ago, in a land and time far from our own, the worlds were in chaos. Prose was destroyed by clichés, stereotypes ruled with iron fists, and the terrain was made treacherous by plot holes of every size and hazard. What’s worse, there appeared to be no end in sight for the tortures oppressing readers of every genre.
Then they came.
Like superheroes summoned by the call of a great beacon, the MEERKATS (Meraki Elite Espionage and Recon Knockout Agents in Training) appeared within all realms of literature and began thwarting the villians that had so long vandalized innocent characters, plots, and prose. But who were these Meerkats, and where did they come from? Alas, none knew, for while the Meerkats were masters at refining others’ tales, the Meerkats revealed the tales of their own history to no one.
Until now. This is a revival (or at least an attempt at it :)) of the Legends and Lore of Meraki thread (https://storyembers.org/forums/topic/the-legends-and-lore-of-meraki/). I know we’re all probably strapped for time to different degrees, but I think if we contribute a little at a time as we’re able, we’ll be able to amass an entire legendarium for Meraki (and have a lot of fun at the same time)!
Sooo…does anyone feel brave enough to join this quest for the lost tales of Meraki?
