Dear Rillumen,

Y’all, the squirrels have gotten out of hand. Here I was, just trying to live a simple life and be a successful squirrel wrangler…and they’ve up and kidnapped me, forcing me to do their bidding, leaving me almost no time to write anything or keep up with more than about five and half friends at once.

Translated (and expounded upon)…

I turned 25 a few months ago and found myself absolutely nowhere near where I’d planned to be by then. I was stuck. And a little bruised and broken by life things. So I cried. I prayed. Finally, I told God I didn’t care what my next step was; I just wanted it to be what He wanted for me. And I asked Him to let me know for sure that I was doing the right “next thing.” A couple of weeks later, I was interviewing for an amazing receptionist/office coordinator job that I found out about through the friend of a friend of a neighbor who offhandedly asked me if I’d be interested in the job (not even exaggerating). It was the only interview I haven’t been nervous at, and I got the job! I started work 18 days after my birthday.

It’s SO MUCH FUN, and such a perfect fit for me…all organizing, and people-greeting, and making sure everyone’s birthdays get celebrated. New sorts of things fill up my to-do list every day, and I’m constantly doing all the things. My commute means two hours of driving every week day, my brain is fried every night, and I’m stressed fairly frequently, but I’m SO HAPPY. The “it’s-been-a-long-time” kind of happy.

SO…that brings us to the not-goodbye…

My dear Rillumen peeps… With much sadness, I have to tell you that I don’t have anywhere in my schedule to squish guild things right now.

So very sincerely… You have been such a joy. I’ve had so much fun, and I have some precious friends now that I probably never would have met if I hadn’t been a Lumenite. I could go on and on, making a list of great things that have happened here, but the most important thing I want to say is THANK YOU. Thank you for being you, and for making a spot here for me. I wish I had the time to stick around and keep being a part of all the writery things, but for now I must bid you until-next-time. <3
