OKAY MEERKATS. Apparently there’s going to be a little ‘about’ page for each Guild and Josiah wants the content for them this week, and that content is meant to be our history and legends, etc. So…I guess we should continue brainstorming. XD

So we’ve got the idea of ranks/titles, and also maybe we’ll need some history (and background on why we call ourselves meerkats??). 😛

Maybe we’re a secret agency type group. And ‘Meerkats’ is our secret code that stands for “Meraki Elect Espionage and Recon Knockout Agents of Telling Stories” (or maybe ‘Teaching Storytellers’? Throw out your ideas, guys). Okay wow that was a weird thing to make an acronym for but…it kind of works?? Or maybe it’s just ridiculous. Opinions?

Maybe we go around and take down (aka teach better) anyone who writes bad cliches/stereotypes, and weak stories or whatever. Each Genre House (in the courtyard) has a different group of agents who take charge of any problems in that genre.

And the reason we go by Meerkats is to throw everyone off and make them think that we’re just small and fluffy and very distractable and hyper. 😂

On that note: we should sort ourselves into genres. I’ve started a google doc to try get some of the info together, so it’d be great if everyone could go onto the doc (which I’ll link below) and add your name under whichever genre you write in. If you write in multiple, maybe just put your name under each one that you do write, but have your name bold if it’s your main genre.

And if your genre isn’t on the list, feel free to just add it in. 😉
