Lorcan
Getting thrown onto the wall was never on Lorcan’s to-do list. Then again, neither was getting chased by swarms of insects. Or getting stuck in a cave with a bunch of people he – just despised.
Lorcan inwardly flinched. That was probably harsh. But at this rate he was sick to teeth of all their faces. He just wanted to leave this place…[Read more]

I think I’m caught up for now? I will admit it is dizzying keeping up with who’s who and what not
Also – Lorcan being thrown???!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’m sorry I can’t – losing my sanity over here just imagining it😂😂😂

@Calidris, IDK where you’re from. That would be 177 cm or 182 cm. (He’s 5’10” or 6′)
(@rose-colored-fancy did I get it right this time? I’m obsessed with trying to achieve a basic ability to communicate via the metric system. XD)

@calidris Okay! Avin is medium to tall (6 ft., maybe. 5’8″, something like that). He has muddy brown hair that is shoulder length and kept out of the way. (I NEVER think of him like this, lol.) He is strong and lithe, and very quick/quiet, since he’s expert in all things woodcraft. He has a chiseled, brown-tanned face with high cheekbones.…[Read more]

Umm this is class?!😂😍 sorry but Lorcan puffing up his chest had me in hysterics. That is like so him🤣
@jared-williams @emily-waldorf you did him so well like, I’m loving his interactions! When he blocked Avin (that was Avin right? I am getting so lost here) from leaving and then he’s all like “we can’t trust her she released the bugs” I mean YESS…[Read more]

I started a new sketchbook recently, and here’s a mildly cursed Kit and fed up Valencia on the front page XD

@emily-waldorf I would love that! Remind me, what’s Avin like again?
I think I’m going to have Kit interact with him! I’ve never written from his POV before, so it might take a while to get used to
Also I’m not entirely sure I *want* to know what Kit’s POV sounds like – like I do, but as a character, he’s rather *cursed* and just mildly p…[Read more]

@jared-williams I guessed it was Avin! 🙂
@calidris I don’t know much about your characters, but I’d love for them to interact with Avin, if you’re interested.

Avin
“What happened?” whispered Enydd. Avin glanced at her, then back at the man that lay gasping on the floor. “I don’t know.”
He’s dying.
He glanced back at Enydd, feeling more helpless than he ever had before. She blinked at him for a moment, then moved suddenly. “I can help.”
She scooted forward and pulled a vial out of her pocket. “It’s…[Read more]

@jared-williams That’s totally fine. I was having trouble stepping into Avin’s character and my ( erroneous) post helped, so that was cool. And your last post was totally cool, so don’t worry. 🙂

They were gone. All gone, finally. Jade was torn between dropping to the floor in uncharacteristic hysterics or… “Well, Castle, what next?” she asked.
Rosemary laughed at her sour expression. Nothing ever threw Rosemary. Not even the eccentric group around them. Jade had seen moderately dyed hair before, but never…[Read more]

And I have another doc that’s 34,000 words… but some of those are rewritten scenes back to back. Does that count?
Nice. So do you write chronologically (starting in chapter 1 and ending at last chapter)?

ooh… should have been more clear. (pouty sad face.) my bad. Oh boy, there’s a lot to go over here. Let’s dive in, shall we?
If you want a character to lose a lot of blood, not die, and have a decent chance for survival, go for gut/stomach wounds. That area will bleed a lot but not enough for someone to bleed out (usually.) If you want them to be shot several times, you can go with either upper arm or…[Read more]

Hello! I have a few questions regarding gunshot wounds
I have a character who’s going to be gunned down in an act of revenge, and I’m trying to balance that fine line between drama and realism.
For a little bit of context, this is set in a fictional Cold War setting, so medical technology, ambulances, telephones, etc. are all present. This c…[Read more]
