Oh my, thanks, ya’ll! 😀 You guys are super encouraging! I’m happy with how she turned out. She’s kinda cliche in design and perosonality, I think, but I like playing around with cliches, so hopefully the readers will eventually find her somewhat memorable. :-} So glad I can share this art…[Read more]

@the-fledgling-artist ASDFKJSNDFKJN I LOVE THIS. Poor Basil D; Seriously, it’s like you can feel the emotion in it! This is beautifully done! Makes me wonder what happened.

@the-fledgling-artist Yay! Thanks! 😀

Okay, here are black and white paper sketches of what I’ve got so far. *pants* I’m going to color them in on my tablet and THEN I’m going to try drawing all ya’lls characters! :]

Let me know if you see anything that you think should be changed. 😉 (Sorry for the lighting–it’s /terrible/. Hopefully I can…[Read more]

@slisby That’s what I’ve gathered! XD No, Velour loves music. Especially relaxing calm music. The only music she hates is off-key music. XP
Also, that boat is beautiful! 😀

@the-fledgling-artist Oh my, love the art dump! (May I call you Fledge?) Your version of Gisette is goregeous (and of course, Basil is still adorable. Great comic panels!). :}…[Read more]

@the-fledgling-artist

That’s great!

Hm, okay, I can already think of places where I’ve done that. Thanks for pointing that out!

Och, also a good point. *taps chin thoughtfully* Interesting.

Spoiler Alert:

As of right now, I have no plans for them to meet their mother in this book.

@slisby WOAH IT’S EVEN BIGGER THAN IN THE CHAT. uGH I absolutely loooooovvve it! The clouds look so beautiful<3.

@the-fledgling-artist D’AWW THAT COMIC PANNEL IS GORGEOUS. Also, Gisette looks so pretty in your style! I love your sketchy lines, these all look so good. :’)

😀 Thank you all so much for the encouraging comments! I’m glad you liked the ideas and I think I’m gonna try it. I’m hoping to commit at least 1 hour a week to drawing, and I’m subscribed to the thread now, so I can read and stay updated on story changes and…[Read more]

@the-fledgling-artist @slisby @h-jones I’M SO SORRY BUT THIS HAPPENED. Clarion casually singing about Kisette with a very confused Basil.

@the-fledgling-artist *bear hug* The fact that you have been feeling hopeful makes me insurmountably happy!! ❤️❤️ Yes, it’s OKAY if you’re not better now, because you will be. God isn’t just going to abandon us where we are. We are unfinished in his hands, and He who began a good work in us will BRING IT TO COMPLETION in Jesus Christ!!

I have a tendency to keep everything to myself. I didn’t even realize how bad I am, but God is showing me just how much I distance myself with people to protect myself.

Yeah…just yeah.  I am sooo bad at this! 😛

@h-jones I know, right? XD Who knew spiritual warfare had a kinda fun side.  😀

@the-fledgling-artist A BIG YES TO THE EVIL KING BEING A FOIL CHARACTER FOR THE SQUAD. That’s just genius and probably makes the villain a whole lot more interesting!

@h-jones YAY! King Jorah and queen Evolet is shall be! I kinda like Evolet a bit more too. It has a similliar feel to Gisette so that fits perfectly!

I do like to think the villain…[Read more]

@i-David noOO I’VE BEEN DISCOVERED *flees for my life*

@the-fledgling-artist My hands don’t have a tenancy to cramp either, though my posture is pretty awful. XD

What are you most comfortable drawing? I tend to draw people almost exclusively, and avoid dogs at all costs. Seriously, I have never drawn a decent dog face, lol.

@the-fledgling-artist AWW <3 I’m so glad it made you feel some fuzzies haha <3

Also, oof. You’re so right—like, I want to feel the hope and peace and joy and fulfillment of the gospel NOW, because if I know the truth, then how come I don’t feel it?? I have felt like that so many times, blergh. I’m really not sure what the answer to that question…[Read more]
