Also, oof. You’re so right—like, I want to feel the hope and peace and joy and fulfillment of the gospel NOW, because if I know the truth, then how come I don’t feel it?? I have felt like that so many times, blergh. I’m really not sure what the answer to that question is—one thing that might (and I mean might—this is a nonprofessional opinion I’ve recently come across) be the case is just the blues, really. I mean, from what I’ve observed, chronic sadness or depression seems to be something that latches onto certain thoughts and uses it as a gateway to instill misery in our hearts. Same goes for fear—what we’re afraid OF might be different, but the feeling itself is the same for everyone.

For example, what you’re saying is true; Heaven is so, so much better than earth and there will be no more suffering—but that thought doesn’t bother everybody. And it’s just like, why? How come this is bothering me and not everyone else?

Maybe just because it’s a spiritual attack intending to defeat you, and that’s the sad thing it chose to latch onto: that you’re here, and not there, and that’s sad.

Anyway… there’s so many complicated variables, because emotions are such a horrid and tricky subject to deal with. No doubt it hurts a lot and is so exhausting, and that really, really stinks. And honestly, if that were the end of it, that is something to be sad about! But for every problem, there is an answer. I have been thinking about your predicament a little and here’s what I have to say:

Why are we here? Many reasons, but one is to lead lost souls to God. You know that feeling of perfection and completion and pure joy that you long for that is waiting for you? You KNOW you’ll receive it when you pass, but others don’t. There may be some of those people that only YOU can reach, and that is why you’re still here.

And man, can you imagine? Can you like, even comprehend the joy that could be found in looking into the eyes of another human being, knowing that they are going to feel that same joy and have that same hope because God put you here? And being able to just know that this person can run to the loving arms of their Creator because you were here.

There is a reason why we are here, and it is to SPREAD THE JOY! The love God has for us isn’t just for us, it’s for EVERYONE! 😀 And I think that the thought it so ridiculously awesome, like, it’s one of those cheesy Coca-Cola commercials where everyone is dancing through the streets! Perfect joy. And we can bring others into that joy! I’ve no doubt that there’s gonna be a great big party when we all go to be with Jesus and ya know? The more the merrier. And the longer I’m here, the more I have the potential to bring with me. <33333

So that’s something that comforts me. And makes me, like, super happy. And I hope it does for you too, but if it doesn’t, it’s totally okay because YOU are GOING to come out of this!!! And God loves you and nobody comes out of a funk just like that, ya know? It might be a journey, but inevitably GOD WILL PREVAIL!
