@bree-dawn Awesome!
@kelly-lundgren Great, I’m glad to hear it!
@devastate-lasting I’m sorry about that. Speaking as a (or at least I’m assuming) fellow highschooler (if you’re not then sorry :P), I know how overwhelming homework can get sometimes… >.< Hopefully you’ll have some more time freed up this week?

@tashah-claymore That’s exactly how I was thinking to uncover the secret of enslaved dragons – MC discovers a dragon by accident, and the whole thing begins to unravel. Eventually the truth comes out and society has to undergo gigantic structural changes to accomodate the grass-roots revolution that arise….. *looks off into the distance*

@seekjustice That sounds like an awesome idea! Do you want to organize that? I don’t want to take that away from you.
But if you’d rather not, I can get the ball rolling. 🙂

@erekdale We’re planning our Second Monthly Video Call this coming Monday night at 6:00 PM EST! The first one was a success (for an exclusively introverted crowd, I think we did pretty good, anyway). XD
And now we’re going to go for round two. This call will have a main discussion topic to start off with, and then we’ll see where the conversation…[Read more]

@eden-anderson You could do that (maybe even via my website contact page) or you could put your story in a Google doc and post the link. Either one you want. 🙂
@seekjustice Sweet. 😉
@vatlmy Okay, I will keep that in mind! 😀

I know, I know…It’s weird. I am creating a topic to offer my beta reading services instead of requesting it. 😉
Anyway…
I’ve really enjoyed beta reading in the past, but I haven’t done so in a while. So I thought I’d ask to see if anyone was looking for a beta reader currently??? Also, if you’re free and want to offer to beta read for anyone…[Read more]

Yes, those ideas really help! For fantasy, I tend to default to battle scenes for conflict, but that gets fairly boring after a while (plus, I’m not too good at fight scenes either 😛 )
Your curse-breaker character also sounds very interesting xD
Thank you for the recommendations! I’ll definitely look those…[Read more]

Great news! My brother came home from the hospital tonight! He’s still on a soft food diet and has to have another test run this week, but he is doing better. Thank you all so much for your prayers! I really appreciate it! <3

Along the lines of this discussion, I’m wondering if anyone here has struggled with portraying true femininity in their stories. In most of my books, I find myself putting a sword or a bow in a woman’s hand in order to keep her engaged in the main conflict (particularly the climax). Otherwise, she’s on the sidelines. While I certainly don’t…[Read more]

I love that you were able to give some insights into Tolkien’s and Lewis’ personal lives to show how it affected their view of women! I really had no idea about any of that. Could you recommend any particular biographies on them? I’m definitely interested in learning more 😀
Your point regarding Tolkien idolizing women is…[Read more]

@eden-anderson Yes! He is just overall feeling better and they took out the tube to his stomach they had put in to keep his stomach drained.
