@sarah-narnathron he likes to draw, so he usually carries a couple sketchbooks/notebooks around with him. So he uses those to write in and communicate. And glares lol

Thanks! He’s…. kind of like a mashup of Faramir and Anakin Skywalker and Murtagh and several other people XD He’s fun, and he’s also the first disabled character I’ve ever written(*cough* he goes[well, is made] mute like halfway through the series due to… traumatic events which may or may not involve acid[I had to research…[Read more]

So….. Honestly, I’d love to see a take on the Aladdin story that doesn’t really hold any of the original…[Read more]

Thanks! Considering I wrote that at like 1AM, I’m amazed it turned out as coherent as it did…. there is this one part though:
Now, I’m guessing you were raised in an environment that probably does approve of drugs, so neither do you.

Alright, let’s get down to business. Governments aren’t exactly my strongest points, but I’ve read enough and written enough dystopian and studied enough history/culture that I can say I have a fairly decent understanding of why some work and why some don’t. Also, worldbuilding is my jam so I’m budging in…[Read more]

Haha, Sarah-Narnathron and I aren’t related, but I can see why you thought so. You should see my siblings–there’s six of us, and all our names start with S. It’s confusing for everyone, including our parents. XD
Shadow is possibly my favorite “villain” I’ve ever written. He’s kind of like a rival/anti-hero character that would…[Read more]

Let’s use for this exercise….. Shadow! He’s a fun guy who needs lots of hugs(*cough* though when do any of my characters not need hugs…) and has a cool wolf-deer-thing as a pet/companion. Like I said, fun guy.
Shadow has quite a few external needs–kill his father, defeat the…[Read more]

Haha, I got into a bit of a rant there, but I’m glad you enjoyed it. I really like talking about philosophies and psychology and all that wonderful goodness, especially when it comes to my characters, so….yeah. I got into a bit of a rant. XD
And for the record, I’ve really liked these discussions that you’ve been doing!…[Read more]

(prepare for a rant)
Well…. first off, what’s this jerk-character’s motivations for hurting your main character’s friends? Think about that. I once found a character who was a total jerk to the MC, bullied him throughout his entire life, and hurt other people, and yet…. was still very believable, human, and sympathetic…[Read more]

Ooh, thank you. Food is the best payment, in my opinion. XD
I’m glad this was helpful to you! I had to sit down long and hard to think what I wanted to say, because when I first started writing fantasy, I went off of generic tips like: be original, or: don’t write cliches! And that didn’t help me one bit. Besides,…[Read more]

Hello! Nice you meet you.
Ooh, you like to draw/paint as well? I’m a junior, and I’m planning on going to college actually for an illustration or animation degree. XD
Haha, I’m pretty clumsy myself. 😉 When I’m tired and not wearing my glasses, I can run into many things. XD
What’s your WIP about? Mine is a fantasy…[Read more]

Thanks! You book sounds very interesting, plus I’ve always loved books and movies about explorers like cartographers and such. 😉 My fantasy project right now is….kind of a mess. I’ve been working on it for around 3 years now, and it’s finally starting to take shape. 😉
There’s a full synopsis on my profile, but basically it’s a journey…[Read more]

Hey! Welcome. XD
Ooooh, you like royalty too? Awesome.
I love seeing good vs. evil as well, but I also have a soft spot for redeemed villains/anti-heroes, so yeah…. I do like seeing gray characters portrayed accurately. There’s a difference between a gray character and a good gray character, if you know what I mean. Like…. Han…[Read more]

No problem! Sci-fi is cool as well, especially with all the cool tech you can put in it. *grin* I love cool tech. I loooove creating new cultures and world-building though, so fantasy will forever remain my favorite genre. XD

Hello! Nice to meet you.
Oh, you’re an illustrator? That’s cool. I’m planning on going to college actually for illustration or animation, and I plan to illustrate all of my own novels. Someday, I’d also love to publish my own graphic novels. We’ll see what happens though. 😉
I love fairy tales also! They’re so much fun, and I love to…[Read more]
