@noahlitle – Hi! Nice to meet you too π
I really appreciate what you said about “doing” vs. “focus” and how our focus–Who our focus is on–is the most important. So true! π

You just made my day, Grace! Thank you! I had no idea how the Gospel section would come across, or if the bars would work, etc. Maybe I need to make the link on section 5 a little bigger or something π I love The Knowledge of the Holy!! (And all things Tozer!) *contented sigh* Such good stuff. And thank you for tagging me…[Read more]

@literatureforthelight – thanks, Grace! That’s so encouraging, especially about getting it out there. Honestly, I’m not sure where exactly. I don’t want to publish it online because I hope to put this, and other stories, in a collection someday. But if I think of something, I’ll pursue it π Also, huge thanks for tagging other folk!

This is such a great discussion! And @daeus-lamb thanks for sharing about that dream. I love how dreams can give us true emotional reactions to situations we’ve never been in. That reaction makes sense and rings true, and I never would have thought of it. I shall ponder it.

Thanks, @msqueen8Β Such encouraging feedback. I also love reminders of Grace! Even though we’ll never know her true backstory, the story we do know is so powerful. God is the best Author!

Yay, more questions! π
@maddiejay – Thanks for bringing this thread to our attention π
I wrote a couple kids books as a kid, probably starting when 7-years-old. But as far as considering it as a career, I’m a late bloomer. It wasn’t until I was into my nursing career, at age 25, that I began taking things seriously. Over the past nine years…[Read more]

So, I dunno how this is supposed to work, but I thought if I made a topic just for my stuff, things would be less confusing. Perhaps?
For all my stuff, any comments, critiques and/or suggestions are welcome! I have pretty thick skin, so please be brutally honest π
I mentioned to @msqueen8 that I had started writing Biblical fiction backstory.…[Read more]

Did, but had a blast and would do it again if’n I could. I actually took it back in college (lol, now I sound old), 2 semesters, 2 (very small) tournaments. Fun stuff!
Foil. Did a little saber for fun, but ouch! π
How about you? How’d you get into fencing? Do you still fence? Any tournaments?

K, so for some reason my website link didn’t work. But if you type www . clarissaruth . net into your browser, it should come up. Sorry about that. I’d hate to deny anyone entrance into The Tower if they so desired.
Oh, and if anyone does desire, and you check out the sunset part, let me know how the interaction with the bars goes. (I promise…[Read more]

So I get to pick five questions and answer those to unveil my soul, and leave the other three, right? (Explain how the flamingo question has anything to do with my soul. . .?)
In all seriousness, those were good questions! Here be answers:
1. Tea or coffee? (The world breathlessly awaits your answer.)
Don’t…[Read more]

@msqueen8 – Yay for critique section! I’ll meet y’all there π
@daeus-lamb – Endings are the best. I hadn’t really thought that much about it before, but it is a good motivator, huh? Besides, if I’m not excited about my ending, why should anyone else be? At that point, it’s time to re-think the book.

Enclave Publishing is specifically Christian speculative (fantasy, sci-fi, etc.). If you’re looking for really good fantasy reads, it’s the best in the genre! https://www.enclavepublishing.com/
I’m saving up my backstories for a collection, probably similar to what you’ve got up on Amazon. For someday π More on that below . . .
I’m…[Read more]

Welcome to the random newbie thread!! What fantasy project are you working on at the moment, or hope to write, or have written? (Or all three . . . .)

Yeah, I’m letting Amazon wait for now, and focusing on improving my writing craft. My goal is to get published through Enclave Publishing if I can, so I’m trying to get much better to be worthy of such an honor! I guess that’s my far-off future goal right there.
Sometimes photographing loved ones does take some convincing. My photography is…[Read more]

Hi @msqueen8 π
I’m brand new too, so I’ll join you in posting confusedly. Sounds like fun, to me π Kudos on getting something up on Amazon! I haven’t ventured into those waters yet.
I enjoy photography too! What’s your favorite type of object to photograph? I love scenery and flowers. I have an embarrassing number of rose photos 8D

Hi all!
I guess this is as good a place as any for a first post. Being brand new today, I’m happy to embrace any and all of these changes. I need to read more to get a feel for how it all works, but I’m excited to be a part of the group!
@daeus-lambΒ I was thinking of a post where we could have some “ice-breaker” questions as a get-to-know-you.…[Read more]
