Thanks for bringing up Ms. Weiland, Michelle! I’ve been following Weiland’s articles for over about a year now – she has some wonderful resources/books/free articles. π I’ve been doing my best to apply them and was wondering if any of you know some other resources as well.

Thank you, Chalice! I’ve been hearing about The Anatomy of Story by Truby from Weiland for a while now, so I’ll def. need to check it out of my library! Is he very specific with outlining techniques, or is it more like a general explanation about structure?

Yes, I’ve think I’ve seen this pyramid before in AP Lit class. π I’m familiar with the basic story structure and am looking for more specific outlining templates/techniques…
Thanks for being my first respond-er to this topic!

Hi all,
I wanted to ask if any of you have any special outlining tips/resources to share? And do you know of any good (open source or your own creation) Word Doc templates to use for outlining?
Thank you!

Hi Michelle,
I think these questions you presented here are very important issues for authors to think about. π So thanks for bringing them up!
Currently my WIP (just started, btw) focuses on human rights. My premise is basically what makes us human and can clones possess souls and unique personalities. I plan on tackle these…[Read more]

Thank you for those resources! I will check them out. π
My profile on Goodreads is a bit sparse π I’ll try to look you up.
Ahh I see – well, I like your characters’ names π My current WIP is a sci-fi about a group of scientists seeking to identify and prove that clones possess souls and should obtain equal treatment as human…[Read more]

I think some INTJ writers I’ve read about include CS Lewis, Emily Bronte, and Jane Austen. π Quite a list, right? What are some historical figures/writers with your personality?
Les Mis is super long. π I need to read the unabridged version though.
Hmm… your synopsis sounds interesting! So is it in the Historical…[Read more]

I’ve seen Andy Griffith’s, but was not super impressed with it… Some older TV shows I can think of right now are Daniel Boone. π

Cameos count. π
I’ve not seen a whole bunch of oldies couples, so unfortunately I can’t say.But I do see quite a bit of old movies – weird.. probably because most of them were Christmas movies or westerns.
I love Holiday Inn and White Christmas.
Bing Cosby is awesome.

Yeah, I just saw the trailer and it’s not impressive.
It’s one of those films that the people who created the trailer didn’t know how to do it well π
The film is great. π

Thank you so much!! I’m in your debt. I’ve literally looked a lot of places for the Canon with all the illustrations in it and haven’t found one I liked. π Used books are wonderful aren’t they? – I don’t think they print the complete illustrated ones anymore – just the text unfortunately.
I think I forgot to tell you first how much I…[Read more] -

Actually, I think I mis-communicated. I meant that I loved that scene. It’s my favorite sword fight scene ever! π They were both so good.
I liked the “never wage a land war in Asia” (or something to that effect). π

Ha! You’re great. I love putting up with you. π Sadly though, the front of the Sherlock collection I have isn’t as pretty as the side. π It does have the illustrations though! I found it at a used book store actually in really good shape for one dollar. π #bestfindever Just a second and I’ll get you the ISBN number!
