@bama-rose Thank you so much for reading and commenting on my chapter! I appreciate all the feedback I can get on it. Apparently you weren’t the only one to think my MC was a man, which is exactly why I posted this chapter, to figure out what I needed to fix! 🙂 And now that I have feedback, I know exactly where to start. And yes, I noticed the…[Read more]

@kate Thanks Kate! 🙂 Yes, I have a lot of fun with Oliver and his brother. I’m looking for a way to bring his younger brother into the story I’m currently working on, but he might have to wait until the next one. I want to do more scenes between the two of them. 🙂

@bama-rose I like your quote at the bottom, I just now noticed that! How we sit with the broken does say a lot about us. 🙂 I’m one of those people that didn’t really take my own writing too seriously until recently to. Now I’m working harder on actually finishing things.
@ethryndal LOL I don’t know, I kind of like the ‘Hallowed Mentor of his…[Read more]

Hi guys, so I could use some help gauging how readable my first chapter is. 🙂 @kate @r-j-karas did you have a chance to read my first chapter yet? And you can tell me if it needed a lot of work, that’s why I asked people to read it. It’s just at the stage where I have read it so many times I need a fresh set of eyes. 🙂
And @eden-anderson…[Read more] -

Wow your list is so detailed. 🙂 Hmm…good questions. I needed an excuse to flesh my characters a bit more. But I’m going to stay on topic right now and just focus on the characters in my current story. Hopefully that will help motivate me to finish said story. Most likely to get punched in the face? That would be Inspector Oliver…[Read more]

Wow, that was so beautiful and unexpected. I was really moved by their sweet relationship. 🙂 Almost fighting the urge to go find a undertow to make me become a mermaid now though. 🙂 You made their life sound intriguing. -

Lover is a strong word but I certainly enjoy drinking different kinds of tea. Green tea is my go to tea. And Peach tea is bliss! Oh and Chai tea is what I get when I go out. My friend and I go out for what we call “Coffee”. In reality we both get tea without fail. I’ve never quite understood coffee besides it’s usefulness…[Read more] -

So what kind of tea is this? 🙂 I love tea, at least when it’s not too strong for me. I’m working my way up to Black tea.

@kate Of course! 🙂 I brought chocolate chip scones! I saw this kind at the store and decided if they could make chocolate chip scones, then so could I!

Hi everyone 🙂
So I’m looking for a bit of help with my first chapter in my second story. It’s a steampunk mystery short story, and the first person that reviewed it told me it wasn’t steampunk enough, so I’ve been working on that. But what I want to know, (aside from if you find any overlooked spelling errors, or any other embarrassing mistakes…[Read more] -

Wow, a lot of good answers here @maddiejay and @r-m-archer! 🙂 I liked some of the specific examples you guys gave from your own stories. It’s going to be hard to add something people haven’t already said now.
How do we write highly engaging criminals without endorsing their criminal activity?
As you guys said, clearly portraying their actions…[Read more] -

No, I haven’t heard of Lenspiration before, but it sounds interesting. I’ll look into that. 🙂 Thank you. -
Rachel replied to the topic What do you think of our guild page? in the forum Announcements 7 years, 8 months ago
Nice! It sounds both intriguing and inviting. 🙂 It succeeds in being awesome and gives people an idea of what we do, but I feel like we ought to add on it more. Tell them about the word wars or when we write stories competing against other guilds. I don’t know if there is anything else newcomers would be curious about, but if there is we should…[Read more]

@daeus-lamb
Actually on my 2nd read through, I think I’m starting to get it. You said a basic disposition is talking about it’s current state and then followed by how it’s viewed in a emotional response? Is that simple? Or am I as far from understanding as I was before? - Load More
