@bama-rose Thank you so much for reading and commenting on my chapter! I appreciate all the feedback I can get on it. Apparently you weren’t the only one to think my MC was a man, which is exactly why I posted this chapter, to figure out what I needed to fix! 🙂 And now that I have feedback, I know exactly where to start. And yes, I noticed the grammar error you pointed out to, I have it in my sights!
Thank you, I put all of hard work into Inspector Hoffmann. He’s tricky but lots of fun to write, since our personalities are polar opposites. 🙂 Some of what he says/does comes very natural to me, but sometimes I’m really stumped to know how he would realistically act in a situation, then I have to go to the experts.

@kate Thank you so much for all your feedback! I was delighted when I saw how long your post was and how much it gave me to work on! I really appreciate how in depth your post was! Thank you for pointing all that out. This is the first writing post that I have done on this site, most of my writing posts before this were on a writing group on facebook. 5/10 I was fortunate if I could get one comment from another writer. So this post was awesome. 🙂
I went through all your comments very carefully and am eager to get start working on them as soon as I can. You’ve given me a lot to think about, making me very excited to go back and work through my first chapter all over again! And thank you for all the encouragement, it’s really nice to hear what I am doing right. 🙂
