Hey guys
It’s been a while since I posted one of these (or anything, really) but when I saw what Jane from Meraki had cooked up (along with help from Daeus and Faith), I had to make sure to share it. If you’re trying to decide whether you want to pursue traditional or self publishing, it’s your lucky week.
Self Publishing vs Traditional…[Read more]

@nuetrobolt I know I’ve been very inactive lately. Not for a lack of interest though. I just have my time divided between a lot of things right now.🙃
@corkybookworm @missfaeriekaiti I wasn’t notified either. The only reason I did know about the word war is that I subscribed to the topic. Which is what I would recommend everyone else do so y…[Read more]

Rillumen has been so inactive lately! Where is everybody? Or has it always been this slow and I never noticed? Not that its bad or anything!
I almost missed the latest word war, so I thought I would remind everyone to quickly send in their total words! The time’s already up, but Daeus Lamb added something today reminding everyone to send in their…[Read more]

@missfaeriekaiti Whoa! Really?! That’s…wow. I didn’t know that! Yippee!!! 😀
@brandon-miller XD Well, that is encouraging. It sure did feel like it, but not after Lynn’s revelation!
Calling it a night at 1633. Did another sprint, but not for writing. Maybe more this weekend? Night, y’all!

@brandon-miller Glad to hear it! I remember you saying it was something you enjoyed and that your boss was super encouraging of your writing journey. Just figured I’d check in XD Sounds like you’ve been busy, though!
I know that feeling. All. Too. Well. :/
@missfaeriekaiti I can’t wait to see if it helps any!

@corkybookworm, NICE. Both on last weekend and tonight. Keep up the good work.
@happyholly_c All I saw was your post and your signature and I was like… optimist indeed. 😛 It’s a good look.

@missfaeriekaiti, cool. And when can I expect the five point essay?
(jk)
But cool, snarky narrators can be hard to pull off (but are super common, esp in middle grade and YA), so it’s cool that Jackson worked. I might have to pull one off a shelf some time and look into it!

@missfaeriekaiti I never got around to reading the Percy Jackson books, but I know a lot of people liked them. Could you say what it was that drew you into them, or was it just kind of… generally a good series?

Hey guys… It is I… Wordsmith. *nods*
Not long ago I took a long break from all this online stuff… and I finished the first draft of my novel. And I want to let you know, that working with Rillumen is one of the greatest, if not THE greatest reason I actually had it finished in the time-frame of one year. The word-wars have been amazing.…[Read more]

Hey guys, this week our weekly discussion is from Brandon Miller.
(oh. me.)
How and What to Read as Writers:
Okay so, we’re all writers, right? We weave words and spin tales and generally have a good go at reality. For most of us though, our love for stories started on the other side of the experience — as readers. Now that we’re writing, it’…[Read more]

@missfaeriekaiti I’d be curious to see how the notebook turns out for you! Haha, and video games are definitely draining, but oh-so-fun!
@brandon-miller Great Forum Silence! Bahaha! I love it! It (YWW) truly is! How’s work going for you? Have you made any progress on Beta Sun lately?

We’re glad you found us too and stuck around even through the dark months of Christmas and the Great Forum Silence. Hopefully you are able to keep learning from us (and us from you bc of how community works etc etc) and write more in the future. Also, I’m glad you found YWW, I’ve heard that’s a fabulous site!

@missfaeriekaiti, Yeah… I totally understand.
@corkybookworm, Thanks! She will be missed here… but if you…[Read more]
