We’re glad you found us too and stuck around even through the dark months of Christmas and the Great Forum Silence. Hopefully you are able to keep learning from us (and us from you bc of how community works etc etc) and write more in the future. Also, I’m glad you found YWW, I’ve heard that’s a fabulous site!

I don’t understand how video games are such a mental drain, but wow they are. (As is work, some days.)

One (sort of radical thing?) I’m working on right now that might help you is getting up early to write before work. For me, my days tend to spiral more and more into chaos as they go along, so my morning time is the easiest and most consistent to schedule. For you though, getting up before the sun might help keep the wanderlust down long enough to help words hit the page.

But also yes, I’d recommend a notebook. I have one for my WIP and at first I thought I wouldn’t like it (because I like how I do my notes on the computer) but eventually I found it super freeing to just have a pen and paper. It’s honestly a great way to get words out, and it’s wonderfully portable too.
