@piperbee I think the beauty of second person is that although we are talking to the reader, we can make them into whoever we want them to be for the story’s purpose. i.e. “After your mom died, you found yourself taking up her sword and hunting orcs in the forests that bordered your family’s lands.”

Adding on to @piperbee what if the reader also has to deduce who’s talking to them? And we could drop clues throughout the story. The narrator could be something abstract, too, like death or time or something from nature.

Also, I kind of want to do fantasy, but that’s just my preference. 🙂

This is pretty neat 🙂 What I did this year is to set aside a block of school time, twice a week, to write. Although it’s pretty tempting to go on other things and not to actually write. 😛 Today I was productive though, due to the word wars.

@daeus-lamb Aaah I don’t know if I’m too late. I read it through once at the beginning, and once now. There are a few word choice suggestions I made.

Good job on the ending! Overall, I felt it was a really solid piece that got across the idea really well.

Your idea is pretty incredible. I would just caution that there should be significant evidence in the story to prove it’s conversion… not a suicide 😛

@daeus-lamb You might want to do Archer’s excerpt. I don’t have extended scenes written except in a fanfiction, and the other ones I have are short stories. Thanks though!

Oooh, this looks super interesting, but I think it will also be quite a challenge. I don’t yet have any ideas, but I vote for not having an altar call, and not reciting the sinner’s prayer. A one-on-one with meaningful, deeply motivated characters would be better.
