Hi, it’s nice to meet you too! That’s really neat that all your stories take place in one universe. I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing, since I really enjoy how Brandon Sanderson does that in his books.
South Africa is an amazing and beautiful place to live! If you ever get the chance to come here, you should visit!
That’s neat…[Read more]

@katja-r I love your profile picture! It’s so dreamy and reminds me of a fairytale! I see you like to read fantasy too. What fantasy books are your favorite?

I like it! I’m really getting into the story now π Just one thing: the point of view changes are confusing, especially toward the beginning. It’s best if you stick with just one point of view per chapter and if you want to change a point of view in a chapter, make sure to indicate it with something likeΒ Β ***Β Β between sections. You don…[Read more]

Aww, sweet! I like the animal theme going on here. That’s great that you’re writing so young, Abbie! Keep it up! π

I also use the 16 personalities site, as well as truity for the enneagram test. But you can also just type in “Myers-Briggs Personality Test” or “Enneagram Personality Test” into your Google search box and see what it comes up with.

Are you going to write Connor’s response to my character Charlotte, or should I? π

Jaylin sounds interesting!
“Letβs not forget Conner and Charlotte! lol”
And thanks for not forgetting my character, lol! I’m still waiting on Connor to continue the interaction . . . 🤔

Ooh, I am liking Emory more and more! She sounds SO much like my character in many ways.
I’m also a bit confused about character interactions. Like, how do we make sure there’s no discrepancies in how they meet and we don’t forget certain characters?

Wow, this is probably one of the most unique stories I’ve ever read! Great job with the second person point of view. That’s hard to pull off! The theme, the ending, the progression of the story are all beautifully done and powerful. I especially like how you named the people of the village with their defining characteristics.…[Read more]

Personally, I like the first one better because it seems to flow better, but either one would work fine π

Kristianne Hassman replied to the topic Characters with other nationalities in the forum Characters 6 years, 1 month ago
Research is very important in writing about different nationalities. Don’t just stick with your stereotypical ideas of a nationality or with ideas you’ve gotten from movies. Do your research. Use reliable sources about that people group, and if you can, try to read a story or article from the point of view of a person from that…[Read more]

I don’t, simply because I can’t think of a good one, lol, and because I have an unusual name as it is. And it’s also simpler to just go with your own name.

Yes, his books are pretty clean and good. There’s no language or anything else, as far as I’ve read. He is a Mormon, but I don’t think his beliefs really affect his books that much. I really enjoy his books, especially his Stormlight Archives series. You should definitely read them!
