The results are in!

The judge has judged, the pronouncements pronounced, and the placements placed.

We…

…got another honorable mention! And once again, one of the reasons why we didn’t outright win is because we did a bit of a twist on the dream sequence genre (see the judge’s feedback in the doc attached below). Go figure. Another technicality keeping our true glory from shining for all to see… *tears*

However, great job to everyone who helped with the brainstorming, and special thanks to @hope-ann for doing the lion’s share of the actual writing. I’m still trying to figure out ways to make this as inclusive as possible for all of us, seeing that it is a guild project; one thing that will definitely help is if I stay on top of things better and make sure have more like a full week to edit and refine our submission. I think it works practically to have one person do most of the writing (whoever is able/volunteers), but the collective editing power we have here is pretty big, so I think we need to take full advantage of that, too. 🙂 Just thinking about loud.

But anyway! Next time the gold metal is ours. *grins*

This time, however, it fell to New Wessex, that bastion of Englishness and writerly reputation. And it was well won, too. Take a moment to read all of the submissions, but especially theirs. It’s really quite good.
