There is a great deal of wisdom in your words.
Too often people who fear for the future are imagining dreadful scenarios where God is not present.
Amen, my brother! I look forward to hearing more about the story as you develop it.

@irishcelticredflowercrown I look forward to it! I feel pretty comfortable with Lorcan, not so much with Daire b/c I don’t know him as well–so thanks for the permission. Lol. Poor guy. He’s been too good at everything for too long. He could use a bit of humiliation now and then, I shouldn’t wonder. :’)

i will post a chapter later today lol, but I‘m liking it so far! Feel free to use Lorcan and Daire (as long as you don’t give them radical personality changes🤣) challenges are exciting hehe i would say Lorcan is mostly concerned with how he has managed to humiliate himself by getting injured😂 i will also write Daire‘s respo…[Read more]

The first thing she noticed was how tired she was. Then she realized that she was very, very cold. She opened her eyes.
The man that had transformed into a beast was standing next to her, rubbing her cheeks with his hands. She caught herself just in time to spare a scream. The armored man, who had risked his life to fight the dragon, was…[Read more]

Sorry it took me so long to get around to this. *fp* Life is nuts. 😛 Anyway! Same format:

In the morning, a gray fog had settled over the fort and the surrounding terrain, minimizing visibility
,and giving the land aneeryeerie look. Abner woke early, and patrolled the walls, straining his eyes for any sight of the enemy, but…[Read more] -

The man turned toward me, and I took half a step backward, wariness overcoming anything else. Running wasn’t an option. If he really could change into animals, he could outrun me. He didn’t have weapons, but he didn’t need them.
He looked confused. His eyes were mismatched, one blue, one green.
He bowed, giving me an unfamiliar greeting.…[Read more]

lol. well, he is only 18, and for the most part self-taught (fyi… he’s not usually so clueless, but he can be rather carefree…)
Oh, absolutely! I don’t think he’s stupid, his confusion is just quite amusing, though it makes sense considering the circumstances.
I love how all the different characters react to appearing in a stra…[Read more]

Hi Joshua, (@storysmith)
Perhaps I just noticed the parallels because of the biblical study I have been doing. I do know that the primary purpose of prophecy is not so much that God merely is wanting us to know the future, but especially that He wants us to know that He holds the future and has full knowledge of it so that we can trust Him as…[Read more]

“I’m May. I live in Varseina at the Lighthouse,” a blonde-haired girl said shortly.
I smiled politely. Varseina? Where on Thrae was that? A dark figure in the corner of the room stepped forward. It was a man. I watched in horror as the man disappeared. In his place was a raven.
Was he a Blessed? But there was no such thing as shape…[Read more]

Yay!
lol. I kinda felt the same about trying to go back to read pages and pages previous story line to see who the characters were… lol. but… at least for my characters, I posted links… but there are pretty good visuals in the links. Used Hero Forge… it’s free (though it does have paying features -but only if you want it), and it…[Read more]

I can never remember hair and eye color. I don’t make pictures of my characters or others’ (generally) in my head, especially not what their face looks like, so I’m really bad at this kind of thing, lol. I also tend to *ahem* skip the introductary posts, b/c I read/type so slow I want the time online for reading the…[Read more]

Oohh, I like this idea! I have a deep love for analogies and use them constantly!
She took a few more steps back, looking as if a wild beast had just stood on its hind legs and asked her to dance.
LOL, that one made me laugh!
Let me see… a few I recall particularly are:

She’d said there were trees as t…[Read more]

your character’s cynicism is great! I don’t think I’ve ever laughed at dry negativism before. Quite excellently written. lol.
Aww, thank you, I really appreciate that! I’m really finding out about her on the go XD
Is it okay to borrow other characters when it comes to conversations? I’m wondering if I should respond, since th…

Best analogies are like the setting jewelers place their gems in. If overused or used poorly, the shimmer will be lost and the jewel will be lackluster at best. Used properly, it will enhance the gem to its full potential and bring great wealth to the jeweler and the customer.
I wanted to start a thread to see what are some of the best…[Read more]

Yay! it did make me nervous…writing someone else’s characters… felt like messing with someone else’s masterpiece… but this is a lot of fun. I needed something like this. I still consider myself a novice when it comes to writing… and this is the first time I’ve really engaged in any form of creative writing activity.

Your take on Enydd was pretty accurate. Most people see her as as a happy-go-lucky, naïve person because of her constant laughing/smiling and awe for the world.
Also, thank you! You have revealed to me a quirk of Enydd’s! She rambles when she’s in shock. XD
I’ll post her POV tomorrow.

“Hey, Conan the barbarian, mind putting on some clothes?” The man in the strange metallic get-up called from afar. He had been watching me from a distance, but this was the first time hearing his voice.
I looked down at my gaaban. If they were from another world, they probably knew nothing about aygiffs, meaning they knew nothing of gaabans.…[Read more]
