Hello!! Sorry for the late reply.
Indeed, it has been a very long time! How was 2022 for you?
Would you like to continue the roleplay? Or start a new one? I’m open to any ideas you may have. 😁

I’m new here.
I have Aspergers.
I like playing video games and watching cartoons.
And I have anxiety issues.Currently, I’m working on a rewrite of the Star Wars Original Trilogy… specifically publishing the thing.
It’s not what it sounds like.-
Hi! I’m new here too.
I am seventeen.
I like playing violin and reading.
I cannot honestly say I’m working on anything right now because I have too many choices in my head.What kind of changes to the original story, if any, will you make in your rewrite?
-
Sorry this is so late. Anyway, one of the changes I made was switching out the Ewoks… with Mandalorians.
Oh and also, there’s only ever the one planet-busting superweapon.

@93imperatorpenguin
No problem!
Okay, your idea to switch out Ewoks with Mandalorians is brilliant! I love it. And it does seem a good idea to cut the extra super weapons. They get a little repetitive. Do you think you’d ever rewrite the other trilogies? The new one especially could use some serious help.🙃

@abrielle
I’m about 2/3’s threw the Prequels. And trust me, when I do get to rewriting the Sequel Trilogy, it’ll be completely unrecognizable… for one thing. I already set up what I believe is a compelling sequel hook that basically involves my own version of Aliens Xenomorphs.

Thank you, Jess! (@toljamedia)
That is very encouraging. I am becoming increasingly alarmed by the serious attention given to the “transhumanism” movement that is taking over our youth cultures who are abandoning faith and moral and foundational traditions that have stabilized communities. These “self-defined progressives” are instead becoming…[Read more]

@rose-colored-fancy just hearing “I like sci fi and I like that idea” is actually a great encouragement for what I’m trying to figure out lol. Thanks so much!

So, I don’t have much/any advice on the publishing front, but I just had to pop in and comment!
I want to be able to talk about God like its 1880s Kansas, but with the sense of yearning and progress that space provides. I have an agricultural research planet run by an interstellar version of NASA. The rest of the plot is just dealing…

I often doubt whether I should really classify my WiP as science fiction – it absolutely is, technically, but I don’t really get into a lot of the tropes. I feel like from a marketing standpoint, I would let down a lot of the expectations that the most dedicated sci fi readers would be looking for.
My plot is largely literary, and I’ve also been…[Read more]

If you’re still interested in the theme (which I certainly find interesting!) I see no reason to let it go.
It doesn’t strike me as derivative of 80s movies. At least from the part posted, I get more of an Andy Weir vibe, the near-future perspective, pulling from all those extant schools and organizations. Also, even amid words like “quarantine,”…[Read more]

I’m not an expert but I am good at some things things well and I sure know what not to do.
Here’s some of my top advice in no particular order or organization.
- I think it’s essential to market in a way you can enjoy. That’s the only way it will be sustainable. You may tell yourself “I will write one blog post a week!” or whatever it…
