Ah, okay cool!
I really liked this bit of foreshadowing, too, and it’s more than half way through the first book:
Oskar rubbed his shoulder and straightened his glasses. “A dead Fang? I don’t believe I’ve ever seen one of those.”
“They’re not much to look at,” Podo said. “All dust and bones.”
Oskar raised an eyebrow.
“Or so I’ve…

Backstory! It’d be a long-gambit backstory though; were we supposed to reveal the twists being foreshadowed?

@j-a-penrose WELCOME BACK! *throws pine needles*
Don’t worry. I missed you. And did you ever doubt that we would be good? *coughs and glances at our conversation and the cookie crumbs all over the place*

Greetings @j-a-penrose, O Guildmaster! Am I the only newcomer, or were more people dumped into this strange land with me?
And hi to everyone else :-} I’m Taylor. I write science fantasy, dark fantasy, and regularish fantasy mostly. I like tabletop gaming (and design!), game theory, too much anime, Dark Souls and Monster Hunter, and coffee! Right…[Read more]

@j-a-penrose Sooo, I was hoping to hit 10,000 words by today, but I only did 8,660. Sorry! Hope it helps us win, though! I pretty much just added a few new chapters in my current WIP. So when I was done editing and everything, all the new stuff I wrote I put in a separate document to count the words. Did I do everything right?

@j-a-penrose Ah. Okay. My total is 293 then. Maybe by next month I’ll be writing since the planning process went much quicker than I thought.
Oh xD

@j-a-penrose Ohhhh. Erm, what exactly do you mean by plotting? Do you mean organising it with bullets, like an outline? Because I did do some of that, but I have no idea how much of my word count it ended up being. *wince* But if you mean just brainstorming and writing down plot ideas randomly, that’s basically all I’ve been doing. My total is…[Read more]

@j-a-penrose So far I’ve written nearly 2,000 words on my current WIP and I’ll try to do a bit more before the deadline! And hey, I do character chats with friends all the time! They’re fun. xD

@j-a-penrose I am plotting my book by hand in a notebook with a pen; if I change my mind about what I’m going to write, and cross out some words, then do the crossed out words still count? I know that if I was typing and deleted words, they wouldn’t, but since this is handwritten, I just wondered if it might be different 😛

@j-a-penrose OKAY. I HAVE ARRIVED.
Here’s my attempt that I threw together from what I have of my WIP so far. This isn’t the official characteristic moment and this isn’t my main character. xD It’s shortly after the inciting incident, but the first time I’d write something from his POV, so I guess it is kind of his characteristic moment. *shrugs*…[Read more]

Hi, nice to meet you.😀 (I’ll remember that Parimi Alcan is the best guild.)
But honestly, I don’t really care which guild I get into, just as long as I get into one. I’m trying to be patient. And let me tell you, it’s totally…[Read more]

@j-a-penrose Wonderful, thank you! Any tips on figuring out word count for editing?
I’ve managed to write 244 words, so hey, it’s not nothing. There’s a high chance I’ll be able to do another two or three hundred before the deadline. 😂
