Well, you may have gathered this, but us guildmasters are now all seriously thinking about what we can be doing to help improve the guilds, and make them more active. I can clearly see that things have been lagging in Parimi Alca, and how it could actually be becoming more of a burden than it is a help.

If you are struggling with this in this guild, please let me know. I’ve been stalking the thread on the general forum, and totally get what you guys are saying. In fact, we were discussing all of these points in our last guildmaster meeting over a month ago.

Now, I feel I probably should let you know what’s currently going on in Parimi Alca that’s been affecting things.

1. The end of school came. And despite an amusing comment about how all of the guildmasters are adults who are busy with jobs, I’m a teenager at school, travelling a few hours a day, sitting exams, and juggling a job on the side. XD I understand how overwhelming it is at this time, and I have actually backed off. Normally, I’d be posting things like mad to try and keep things moving. (As you could see way back.) So, this time was meant to be a bit of a break.

2. Things happen in people’s lives. I’ve had guildlings contact me with apologies because events have pretty badly disrupted their lives and they just needed time. Some people have been sick. I’ve been suffering with severe mental health issues myself. Just remember that on and off, there will be times that people can’t manage. I know you know that, and I love you for it. <3

3. We finished our topic. Toward the end of the year, I was grasping at straw to fit the topic I was doing in our lessons. Plus, I was having general issues and was almost too intimidated to look over answers to things. D: Next year, however, we’ll be doing a new topic, and it will be one that is easier to do lessons and exercises on.

4. You have full permission to start your own threads anywhere in our guild. You can try testing each other on things, and having fun discussions about what you’ve been writing.

 

Also everyone, I have a few suggestions that I want to toss out to you to see what you think…

 

1. A thread to generally talk about what you’re writing right now and to just have fun doing mini wordwars and things?

2. Interguild competitions?

3. Character building station?

4. Having a volunteer take one guild lesson a month?

5. A live Q&A once a month? (We’ll be checking this more with us guildmasters, but I’d like to give it a shot.)

 

If you can all say how much time you have for Story Embers in an average week, that would also be helpful. Because, some people have been saying that they don’t have enough time, and the guilds are asking for too much, and other people are saying that nothing is ever happening, so… something seems a bit off.
